Lovely art studios in San Jose del Cabo. Take advantage of the Art Walk if you can. This is a true vision of the Mexican culture and art work can be purchased at very resonable prices.

An absolute great experience. Plenty of amazing art showcased by local vendors and artists at a wide range of prices from high to low in downtown San Jose. A nightly event that is very clean and safe with tourists and locals shopping and browsing together. Great atmosphere that lasts well into the night. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance to choose from. Definitely going back next year!

We visited one fantastic gallery - Galleria de Ida Victoria, that featured really fine art and had wonderful owners. Whimsical and well-done. very expensive, but excellent. Some were just very expensive, but the tour through this district offered a lot of variety and interest. I would do this if you like art.

So this is a pleasant experience - the shops are open late, people are out and about, and there is a festive atmosphere, and it appears generally safe. But keep in in mind this is not an event of mindblowing cultural significance. There are a few interesting galleries, the rest are essentially expensive souvenir shops, but so what? Grab a glass of something and stroll around. What else do you have to do this Thursday, anyway?
