Description: Baja Blue Bar & Grill opened its doors in June of 2010 when a group of locals decided they wanted and needed a place to have dinner and lunch. Somewhere that provided a setting to relax, drink, watch sports, dance, party and enjoy live music. Our vision is that we wanted to create a reasonably priced menu and be centrally located. BUT, IT NEEDS TO cater to both the locals and tourists. It must be under a Palapa to give it a unique look and feel. Sounds Picky???..... Well it is, and Baja Blue has catered to all those needs. How did we do it?Baja Blue’s Kitchen uses its onsite garden to produce “Cabo Cuisine” which is an international menu that understands the likes of American palates, introduced in a Mexican style culture. This international menu ranges from classic Mexican dishes to local seafood sashimi dishes to hamburgers and pizza. This is a diverse menu that hits all pallets for all kinds of people. The setting inside Baja Blue is a modern classic Mexican look, where you can relax on the wrap around balcony or party along the “Long Blue Bar.” Baja Blue mixes modern marble high tops and bar stools in the bar, with Mexican made equipal chairs and wood tables in the dining room. The outside balcony is a mix of white marble tops with woven twine chairs. The overall look of the restaurant is clean, simple, comfortable and spacious.

We had a great berry mojito and really good beer from Baja Brewing Co. The food was not good. Stick with a drink and go elsewhere to eat.

Food was cold and took way to long to get waited on. Great view of the ocean but I will never go there again. Hamburger was burnt.

As annual visitors to Cabo (Barcelo Hotel), we usually do an all-inclusive. Dec 2012, we decided to forego all-inclusive, and so glad we did. We took advantage of several restaurants in downtown San Jose del Cabo, and just across the street from the hotel, we discovered a gem.

Our first visit to the Baja Blue Bar & Grill was for drinks and appetizers (fresh tortillas for chicken queso dillas) before riding the bus to Cabo San Lucas. Happy Hour all afternoon -- food was extraordinary! A return for dinner resulted in another great dining experience. By now, the staff knew our drink orders and the chef created terrific fresh sea bass and grilled shrimp for us. We made several stops at these casual restaurant. Never disappointed.

We ate lunch here (the only customers at the time) and the food and service were excellent. Shrimp Tacos for $10 (3 soft tacos, with 3 large/tasty prawns in each one); this was the best shrimp I had while in Mexico! Also, very good Enchiladas and Quesadillas. They did play American games here, Monday nights they have football on the big screen.
