“I will be back!!!”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

I loved my stay at the Marisol Boutique Hotel.
As 60 year old woman travelling alone Marisol was beyond helpful. She made me feel like a friend.
Clean, friendly, close to the beach, close to the Mega store, great restaurants near by, etc...
Thank you Marisol and your staff.

The Marisol Boutique Hotel in San Jose del Cabo is a piece of paradise. The family owned and operated small hotel provides everything you need for a completely relaxing vacation. We could not have been better taken care of by Marisol Garcia. She is most generous with her time and helpful in many ways. If you are looking for a small, well run, lovely hotel don't pass up the Marisol Boutique Hotel. Fantastic!

My wife and I spent 8 days at the Marisol Boutique Hotel in May 2013. The suite was clean, tastefully decorated, had a great balcony overlooking the Sea of Cortez and had fantastic staff. Marisol Garcia, the manager and daughter of the owner, was very helpful. She was able to suggest the best activities and put in a good word with people who were in charge. Her willingness to assist was warm and friendly. The bed was a king and new new --- important for a getting older couple. Breakfast in the café on the ground floor was fast and tasty. The prices for everything were very reasonable. The hotel is handily located near the beach, the bus stop into San Jose downtown and to Cynthia's, a great organic restaurant just around the corner. We felt like we were part of the family and, for the first time in our many vacations would go back again to the Marisol!!

Room Tip: Try for a suite facing the water

Nice and clean, with a very friendly family which runs this lovely situated hotel. A big Mega store and bus stations withing a 5 minutes walk or less. Close to the beautiful beach and very quiet at night.. A perfect place for exploring Cabo, we even went by bus to the capital La Paz.
The free breakfast wasn't our thing but that's a minor problem, you can eat whatever and wherever you want in the neighborhood at walking distance. Thanks Marisol, we had a perfect time at your hotel !

Super. What a wonderful family that run this little hotel. We stayed here on our first few nights of a 5 week tour of Mexico and could not have chosen a better place to start our wonderful journey from. Marisol was unbelievably helpful ( and I would happily repay the favor if she is ever in London) we went sport fishing one day and she arranged for our fish to be cooked at a proper local eatery (Johnathan El Toro did wonders with our catch for a bargain price). She also helped us arrange our next hotel to continue our adventure arranging the most amazing kayak / sea lion snorkel for us in La Paz. This little hotel is in a perfect spot for exploring the cabo coastline, we hired a car and that worked perfectly. It is right by the beach and you can easily walk to amenities. A proper family hotel with all the personal care you just don't get in the big resorts, would stay again in a flash. Jesus also keeps the rooms very clean.

Room Tip: Make contact and ask for what they would recommend, Marisol even asked if we wanted to move to a big...

We stayed 1 night at the Marisol. Perfect for our needs as we had been travelling in Baja for 2 weeks and needed a short stay close to the beach and airport. Andrea, Marisol and Antonio were wonderful---great service. They supplied beach chairs and luggage storage. Antonio even gave us a ride to the airport; what a great way to end our Baja vacation! We had a sea view room which was clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the "Mega" store to purchase your breakfast needs and/or beach munchies/alcohol. We didn't get to experience the restaurant as it was closed for semana santa. We walked 2 km. into San Jose del Cabo for dinner in the church square at a great restaurant called Molly's. The Marisol is excellent value and I would highly recommend it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Top floor sea view room worth the extra $$. Has a tiny balcony.

I stayed at the Marisol In January to add on a few extra beach days after a live-aboard scuba diving trip. Marisol herself went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and ensure a good stay - when she disagreed with the rate she was given while trying to call me a taxi my first night, she drove me into town for dinner instead! She gave me great local recommendations as well, which was why I was staying in San Jose instead of San Lucas. Though a lot of shops and restaurants near the beach were closed, the location was all I needed - I could walk to the beach (Marisol provided chairs, beach towels), and there was a spa, a car rental and a restaurant right next door. For the rate and the friendly, super helpful staff, I would recommend Marisol Boutique hotel.
