I just returned from a 6 day stay at the Hilton Hotel in Cabo San Lucas and am pleased to recommend this hotel for travelers seeking a location which provides remote tranquility.
The hotel is situated just off the main highway, half way between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. The Hilton is comparatively small by resort standards and the pools (there are two) do not offer any water slides or water falls, the lay out is simple and rooms are standard for Hilton properties. There are only a couple choices to dine on site and the main building has only one bar. The beach area is modest, void of boat docks, snorkeling refs and I found it to be clean and litter free. The high marks I express is as a result of the excellent staff and their service to guests. I cannot express how pleasant, courteous and service orientated the staff are there. This positive attitude resonated throughout our stay and every request was accommodated. Our room (2034) was comfortable, featured a private balcony, spacious bathroom and all amenities were in perfect working order. Though the dining choices are limited, we found all meals there to be delicious, freshly prepared and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of different dishes each day. The hotel is remotely located, but there is a car rental (National) on site, which makes trips to town easy. This Hilton offers little for children, which was fine for us and best suited for adults and couples looking for a peaceful place to relax. There are some independent services offered on the beach, such as Jet skis, surfboards and a modest number of horses for a ride along the beach. The remote location also thins out the number of vagabond vendors, in numbers far less than expected and did not harass you any longer when told 'no thank you". There are few frills here, but there is no question that the staff here are among the best I have ever experienced at a Mexico based resort. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and a destination we will likely return to in the future.

Room Tip: Drinks are a bit expensive, so best bring a bottle of your choice and add it to "virgin" drinks ordered at the bar. Take advantage of the dinner on the beach, which is romantic and beautiful.

Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. We had a room with an ocean view and partial view of one of the pools. All the food was delicious. Location seemed to be between Cabo and San Jose, so it was about 20-30 minutes from each urban area. There is public transportation for $2 each way (much cheaper than a cab at about $25 each way) and the driver and other passengers are helpful so you don't miss your stop.

The Hilton was great - we were there for 5 nights. The rooms were very clean and I would have to say have the best decorative choices of any other hotel that I have stayed at. The pool is clean, there are plenty of chairs - and the chairs are actually comfortable! Another plus you can just take towels - no showing your room key or getting a card that allows you 2 towels at a time (like the Westin). There are towels placed everywhere for you as well - you do not have to walk far to get a fresh one. Chairs by the beach are comfortable and there are also umbrellas that they can set you up with as well. Food -- it's hotel food - pricey but at least it's good hotel food. We didn't eat too many times here as we always rent a car to go other places. The staff is wonderful and friendly too. Would I stay here again? Of course and will be looking forward to it.
I have stayed at many places and this would be #1 for my tropical choice.

Room Tip: you can ask for a refrigerator to be brought up - they do have some.

My wife and I just returned from Cabo and we loved it.
Room- we had an ocean front room. Great view, always clean, beds comfortable.
Service- it was amazing. I called guest services 4 times during my stay and in minutes my request was taken care of with a smile. Restaurants and bar service was the same if not better. Housekeeping was also amazing. The room was always spotless, and we enjoyed the turn down service.
Spa- we did have a massage. I definitely would recommend it. There were spa personel giving free 5 minute massages by the pool. It was great.
The ocean is rough there, but there is an area that is near the rocks where you can enter. The pools were awesome. Go for a walk on the beach it's beautiful.
Cabo San Jose and Cabo San Lucas are a 20 minute cab or bus ride. We took the public bus, which was $2 per person. The stop is right in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Our room was very quiet.

From the first day we were very impressed with service, views, pools and food. The last day we were still very impressed and ready for another round of food from all the restaurants on site! Pools and service around the pools are awesome! Beautiful views from the pool looking out to the beautiful ocean. Within the first 10 minutes we were wanting to book another trip for January! Got to see a whale which is rare this time of year. Great trip!! Highly recommend!!

Room Tip: Almost all rooms are ocean view but I would not want to be on floor 1. We stayed on 4 and view was awesome and sunrises were very neat to see!!
