Just got back from a great trip to the Hilton Los Cabos. We had the most fabulous pool-side waiter/attendant, Juan Carlos. He took care of our every need and was waiting with a smile for us each day when we came down to the pool. If you stay at this hotel, definitely seek out Juan Carlos! The food was delicious and we found something for everyone, including our 11 and 14-year old daughters who can be very picky eaters!

Room Tip: We had a King ocean front suite. We brought in two rollaway beds for our daughters who set up in th...

The prices have gone up but still one of the finest Hotels on the beach. The pool is excellent and the beach very nice. they have put out a walkway since I was there last on the beach which looks nice and helps you get around more.
The pool is super and lets you wander around and even get right up to the bar when you want. The wait staff is friendly and helpful as are the people at the front desk.
The rooms have excellent views for the most part and are comfortable. Nice layout of the bathroom.
There is another pool towards the east which is much less crowded if you prefer more quiet.
The buffet is excellent. although it is not quite what is was a year ago. If you hadn't been there earlier you would never have noticed. It is super and the service is tremendous. Worth every penny.
I would highly recommend this hotel for relaxation and comfort with super service.
If you find this helpful please mark it so.

Thank you for your detailed and nice review of our resort! The entire team at Hilton Los Cabos gladly puts their best foot forward with every service-oriented task, so thank you for taking notice of these efforts. We’re glad that you enjoyed the walkway as well, which we use to provide a more convenient way for our guests to move around. We look forward to seeing you again during your next trip to Hilton Los Cabos.

Upon arrival to the Hilton Los Cabos, we immediately felt a sense of ease and relaxation. This Hilton is unlike your typical mid-level hilton property. It is beautiful and semi- reminiscent of a more prestigious brand. The service from the employees at this hotel was above par and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. We had a ground floor room, facing the ocean, which opened up to a full patio with chaise lounges. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2. The problem with this resort is the price of the food. I understand this is a resort, my family and I have spent many nights at better brands and were still shocked at the price of food and drink. The food is not only pricey but it's way too american to be in a Mexican resort. Yes, it's resort pricing but it's a Hilton not a Fairmont or Ritz. The Hilton should be pricing themselves for what they are. I find it appalling that there isn't even a coffee maker in the room! How greedy can the owners of this property be? I have never seen a Marriott or Ritz Carlton property do this. All in all, this property is beautiful but in the future we will seek a property that fits our needs more appropriately when we are spending $400 per night.

I am a Hilton diamond member who has stayed in Hiltons all over the world. I came here to get away and relax for five days. The only work I have done is write this review.

Somehow we are here at a great time. It is the start of the slower season. It is not crowded. I thought it would be too hot but it is not.The staff is incredible , very helpful but not overbearing obviously well trained with plenty available.

Our room was on the sixth floor it has a great view is plenty big with a great balcony where we spent a great deal of time.

Breakfasts are very good with continuing different choices, We have eaten in all the restaurants and enjoyed then very much. I think prices are reasonable for a resort with the exception of a glass of house wine in the bar was 13.65 but half that for happy hour. They had a good variety of margaritas and I found a couple I really liked.

One added bonus is they have a good selection of Cuban cigars available which were outstanding. The rooms were clean and well prepared each day including a towel animal every day to the delight of my wife.

The pools, beach and water was great. I would give this property and its administrative staff my highest praise, I stayed in the Waldorf in Maui and in Rome and we liked this better. Well done my highest recommendation.

stayed april 7-11 and really liked this hotel but it was the staff that really made the difference. from the bellman paul, to the restaurant waitstaff, all were extremely friendly and ready to help. some particulars:

room: we stayed in 4024, "oceanfront". if you get an oceanfront room, be sure to get in the "north" building. it looks over a beautiful beach area. originally given a room on the south side of the property that was right above the convention dinner spot with giant stage and lights. upon seeing this, we waited for another room to open up in the other building and it was perfect. the front desk and paul were wonderful in helping us. btw, the rooms in the north building are very close to the resort nextdoor with very loud music. all that being said, even the "oceanview" rooms looked great depending on the location.

food: never had a bad meal. ate twice in the terrace bar off the lobby, nachos that i have to say were the best i've ever had though it's not something i order to much in general. had ceviche once and loved it too. again, the waitstaff couldn't be more friendly. had fish tacos at the La Bacca (?) pool restaurant and they were really good.

pool/beach area: used the beach one day, it was nice but i have to say this was the one area were the staff sort of dropped the ball. there is a small shack kind of place were the servers picked up drinks but no one ever made it down to our area. got up once to get a beer and gave them my room number. no one ever showed up again so got up one more time. after a while we just decided to go back up to the resort. pool area was much better, however, be forewarned, if you want a prime place in the sun, you'd better get your butt out of bed early and snag it fast.

my only complaint and really, it's not just the hilton but all these type of resorts, there are zillions of conventioneers, everywhere!!! but, you are in a spectacular setting so i can totally understand why they would choose this area. we live just north of san diego at the beach so we are lucky enough to get this great view all the time, i guess we should share:-). nothing about this hotel would keep me from staying again, i'm anxious to go back and will soon.

Room Tip: if you want oceanfront, be sure to wait for the northern side of the property (if you're facing...

We have always stayed here, last 12 visits or so but totally agree with the prior reviews. Lounge chairs full at 6:30 am, conventions make you feel like you never left home...blah blah blah is all you hear at the restaurants, needed a shot of tequila but now the price of that has gone up to $16.00 as are all cocktails. Yes rooms and staff are great but wow, could not wait to get home this time, wanted to leave a day early but we couldn't. Also, for the now large capacity of business conventions, you need to wait until 10:30 am or later if you want to workout.

So sad, loved it but prices are sky high now and this has become a business convention resort.

Reviewed April 12, 2014

My wife and I just spent two nights here April 3-4 and found this hotel to be a crowded disappointment. This was our second stay here (the first six years ago) and found it to have the same problems. The rooms are decent, but it's a noisy hotel and the constant convention and/or company groups overpower the property. The pool area is so crowded with the loungers literally stacked on top of each other that it is nearly impossible to get spots and as the hotel allows people to save loungers by throwing a towel on them the big groups come out literally at 6:00 am and save all the chairs--both mornings we were up at 6:30 am to walk the beach and there were NO loungers available poolside--only up the pathways or down below--totally unacceptable! The poolside restaurant was not bad with a good menu and the food was good. The breakfast buffet is very average and was typically way too busy so we opted to go to Las Ventanas for breakfast and have a much better and tastier breakfast with superb service and no buffet lines. The location of the Hilton is midway between Cabo and San Jose del Cabo so you have a $20-15 USD taxi ride either way. The beach area is however nice with a small protected bay for swimming as well as a nice lounging area with a decking path to get there...the only lowlight is the horse pen adjacent so the smell of horses, etc. wafts up to the lounging area when the wind is right. Overall, the staff is well trained and professional, but the packs of screaming kids and constant crowds make this a less than enjoyable place if you're looking for a relaxing stay. Also, don't pay extra for Ocean front rooms as the views from the Ocean view rooms are just as good if not better. The Spa was a nice surprise, but again the overall pool experience--which was the same thing we experienced during our last stay, will keep us from staying here again. Unless you're using Hilton points there are better options in Los Cabos.
