Description: ( Closed Mondays) Floras Field kitchen is about handmade food using our farm fresh ingredients. Our goal is to create a healthy family meal with a sense of place. Our day begins at four in the morning when Jose the baker arrives to fire the wood oven. Working with sourdough cultures and pre ferments he makes loaves of Pain L'ancienne baguette, ciabatta, sourdough, focaccia, whole wheat and herb breads. Chefs, cooks, stewards, the butcher and farm hands begin arriving after first light. Throughout the morning produce comes in to be washed and prepped while the line gets fired up to prepare the first meals- through dinner there is harvesting going hand in hand with cooking. All meats served at Floras Field Kitchen come from our nearby 150-acre ranch where animals are humanely raised on diets that do not include hormones or antibiotics. In the evening, and for Sunday brunches, the wood-burning oven becomes Mamas pizzeria. We make Neapolitan style pizza with fresh mozzarella and dough that is built over time and handled lightly.

“Real Working Farm to Table Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

A real working vegetable and fruit farm that serves only what is grown or raised on the farm.
Not easy to find and tucked in the hills outside of Cabo San Jose down a dirt road.
All covered open air dining.
Recommend lunches it may be hard to get their at night.
Only fresh caught fish of the day at night.
The chicken burger was excellent.
Interesting spot.
Dress: Very casual
Credit Cards:All
Call to get exact directions
At night take a taxi.
Price:Moderate

“Garden delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

Visited Flora's Field kitchen for dinner and drinks. Very eclectic, California feel atmosphere. Food and drinks were very good. A bit pricey and interesting drive up to the site especially after experiencing monsoon type rain the days prior to our visit there.

“Don't be afraid to take this adventure over to Flora's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

When the pavement ends and the the never ending dirt road begins, keep going! Trust that there is an amazing spot waiting for you. The drinks were amazing to the palate, the salad was perfectly balanced with seasoning, and I've never had a pizza like the lemon arugula. The eye for detail was really impressive and I was blown away at the fresh mason jar flower arrangements. Yes it was expensive and me being a small business owner, I understand the 3% credit card charge, but try and arm yourself of this knowledge and go for a little paradise in the middle of no where. I' look forward to making it back there.

“Suprised about extra 3% fee when using credit card”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Food and service was good, however I was suprised when the bill was received and was informed that there was an extra 3% charge for using a credit card instead of cash. If I had been informed that cash was required to avoid the 3% fee when we made the reservation I would have brought cash to pay, however I was 30 minutes from our condo and didn't want to drive an hour to avoid the charge. Getting charged that 3% with the prices for drinks seemed excessive to our group. We spent over $350 on the food and drinks and it seemed a little cheap to us that we had to pay that extra charge. This was the first time I've been charged an extra fee to use the credit card. It's the little things that generate good or poor feelings about a restaurant experience and perhaps they should build in the price of the credit card in their menu pricing and then offer a 3% discount to those who pay in cash; a much better option.
