We have come to Los Cabos at least once a year for ten years. Our dinner this evening at Deckman's was as good a meal as we have had here. The service was friendly and informative. We really enjoyed that we could order almost all of the dishes in sizes that fit our individual appetites. The preparations were excellent and seasoned properly. I would recommend the pork belly and octopus, quail, fish tartare, and duck. The wine list (all Mexican wines) contained many good choices at resonable prices. The restaurant is on the transpeninsular highway. That makes it both easily accessible and noisy, but not so loud as to interfere with conversation. Deckman's will be a regular for us.

Cannot wait to get back! We enjoy his food and the staff! One of the best in Cabo! His Staff is friendly and we enjoy his way of putting ingredients together without making it over the top.

If you consider yourself a true foodie or just an individual with a better than average palate and sense of smell, you need to eat at Deckman's. I usually judge a restaurant on how many different flavors I can taste on one plate. If it's infused, marinated, crusted or dusted I want to taste it. Well Chef Drew has it down. I live most of the year here in Los Cabos and you simply can't find integrity coming out of kitchens here. Chef Drew takes pride in his choice of local organic ingredients. My Favorite-Octopus and Pork Belly with Cauliflower Puree-BOOM!

On busy highway, 10 minutes from Mega Mart, towards San Lucas. Up a steep staircase, windows open for the summer, so traffic noise even indoors, but not too bad.
When explained, menu is easy to understand: 7 lines of appetizers, about 5 items in each line, with 6 lines of main course, about 5 items in each line. Items served from left to right in a line, no skipping between lines. Each line has small, medium, or large portions for entire line--we chose the small.
Opened with complementary grilled short rib bites. She had quail (watch out for little bones), celery root paste, diced veggies, quail eggs, chyote (squash) as appetizer; then pink snapper on a bed of greens, saffron foam little neck clams, diced vegetables, potato finger. I had sand dabs (flattened raw fish-delicious), periwinkle (chopped chewy snails--excellent), scorched watermelon slices for appetizers; for main course: chicken breast piece, sliced with skin on it, tender, juicy, flavorful--best chicken I ever had, with cous cous, 2 grape baked tomatoes, excellent eggplant and a quail egg. For desert, we split the artisan cheese plate (2 local aged kinds, with bread), 2 mangos, sliced almonds. Other plate was coffee ice cream--excellent, chocolate mousse with thin wafers--excellent, chocolate gateau, and halved blueberries. We each had a red wine glass. Total 1000 pesos, (83 USD).
We heard they get their organic foods from the local Huerta Los Tamarindos organic farm.
Presentations of food outstanding. Service perfect.
This restaurant compares favorably with any gourmet restaurant anywhere.
