After a heavy rainstorm we took a drive to San Jose and found this place. It is clean restaurant under a palapa roof and the outdoor seating had a fresh breeze and a good view of the street scene below. Decorations are traditional with bright colored linens and leather and rattan chairs. The waiter was very friendly and knew the menu and made lots of suggestions. We settled on the arrachera and the shrimp molcajates. Sizzling steak and nopoles with onions were tender and tasty, and the shrimp was popping hot with a tasty sauce. The nopoles were not overcooked and had the taste of green beans. It was so tasty but way too much food. One molcajate would have been more than sufficient. We took our leftovers back to the resort and had a great dinner too. We will definitely return.
