If you want to experience something a little different then go to Guacamayas.
The service was awesome, the food was delicious and the ambiance very mexican.
This is where the locals go to eat and is definitely not touristy.
Try the stone bowls which are huge and can be easily shared by two people.
Set in an outside courtyard with tables placed amongst the trees and no ceiling to speak of it is a rather noisy but fun place to go with friends or family.

This is a great, fun, family restaurant, good for a group. Their stone bowls are terrific. People in our group had chicken, pulled pork, steak, etc., and everyone raved. Great guac, big margaritas and a good casual place to go.

We were referred to this gem by a friend who lives locally. It's not on a main drag and definitely not a tourist joint. It's on a side street off of Pescadero just after exiting the transpeninsular highway. Not a pretty street, but its worth the visit. No roof to speak of, the ceiling is foliage from large trees. The kitchen is open and very clean and organized. The service is impeccable. The host, the waiter, the bartender, the bus boys - EVERYONE - was so ON IT. The food came quickly and was so unique and fresh and delicious and affordable. The volcano bowl was great and the crispy pork tacos al pastor were a highlight. The rolled cheddar cheese appetizer thingy was just ok, go right to the good stuff. We had 2 margaritas and the bar tab may have been more that the food, and we ate a LOT! Try this place next time you fly into Los Cabos and are on the way to - or from - the airport and headed down the corridor.

Back off the main strip is this wonderful kind of hole in the wall next to a kind of creepy massage place. Out front is a spit of Pastor (pork) that is being cooked by wood burning flame. The smell is amazing and led us to the restaurant. The waiter (speaking good English) brought us a wonderful platter of grilled onions, jalapenos, limes, pico and VERY VERY spicy Salsa. He recommended the Molcajete and we said GREAT. Boy are we glad that we listened. We got the Pork Shoulder and our friends got the Chicken Molcajete. There were Nopales, Cheese, Onions etc. The bill came out to about 10$/person and was sooooo worth it! We went back for tacos and lunch and and and....I go to Cabo every year and this is now a must visit in the lineup! I am drooling just thinking about it!
