“Nice hotel, but beware of share time salesmen!”
Reviewed December 5, 2011

Posada Real Los Cabos is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. We enjoyed their breakfast buffet, and dinner buffet almost every day.

Some evenings the hotel offers events like beach party, or shows of for example mexican dances. Every night there is some kind of live music. Nicie initiative!

But what we really found strange is that they permit share time salesmen within the hotel! (Tiempo compartido) And what is worse is that first they say they can offer you ordinary tickets, without wasting a day on "share time offers". But in the end it shows that that is all they sell.

So i must say it´s really sad to see a nice hotel being corrupted by this business. And that shows really well when the real tour salesmen, that doesnt´t offer share time is not allowed in the lobby. (He has a little agency outside if the hotel lobby)

Unfortunately it´s not the only place corrupted by this business. These salesmen are everywhere in the airport and in the supermarket, so in total it makes Los Cabos a less pleasant place, wich is really sad, cause otherwise it´s really a beutiful corner of the earth.

Two weeks until our third trip to the Posada Real. Been to Cabo at least a dozen times and Posada is by far the best all inclusive for the money. The hotel is small, as others have said, but if you have done it all and been to all the Cabo attractions and just want to be left alone, just you and the sun, this is the place for you. The food is authentic Mexican and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. No loud music to keep you up late here! It's the perfectly priced getaway.

My sister and I stayed at Posada Real Los Cabos this past November. We were on our way to a wedding in Texas and decided to get away for the week before. We found the hotel through a travel agent and the price was great. Especially because it included all drinks.

Because all of the reviewers spoke about how great the service was, I have to say that might have been a little oversold. They were nice, but upon arrival I was standing at the front desk with no one else around while the gal was typing and didn't look up for a minute or so...a little off-putting. Ramon was great and escorted us to our room, sad to say I did see a dead cockroach there. Coming from the south, I have issues with that, I pointed it out to Ramon (I just thought he would pick it up) but he went and got us an entirely new and better room! Love that guy, and how he was empowered to help the customers.

The next room was lovely, the sheets were crisp and clean, the bathroom was fine and I did get free in room internet connection. The power is the same as the US so curling irons and computers work on currents.

We did not get the all inclusive meals, we did eat at the buffet a couple of times but meals were a challenge as my sister is allergic to dairy. The lunches beach side were very good. Beach side service was great, Luccio took care of business. The margarita's were tasty, but you have to ask for the good tequila, it makes all the difference.

All-in-all the perfect place for and we would stay here again!

My son and I travelled To Posada Real November 17th to 24th, 2011.This was our "Mancation". Small, no frills, resort.Very quiet and relaxing - not a party place. The service here is like no other. This was our 7th Mexico vacation and undoubtedly the best service. Benito was there from the crack of dawn until after the sun went down, always with a smile and a friendly handshake - "waiter extraordinaire". There was not a large variety of food, but what was there was excellent. Francisco and Simon made and served the best drinks. Simon didn't say a lot, I think because he remembered everyone's drink order from the pool all the way out to the beach and back again.Beds are quite hard and pillows lumpy, but good if you have a bad back, but my son could lay in bed and see the sunrise and waves hit the beach. We went to Shooters Bar (you need to go here) in San Jose to watch the Canadian Eastern and Western football final. It's owned by Terry, who was originally from Regina. We also went, for the 2nd time, for a Dinner Cruise on the Caborey. Excellent food, entertainment and service, and the best way to see the Arch and the scenery. The marina at Cabo is also a must see. We stopped to eat at the Baja Brewing Co. (formerly Greenberg's) - it was superb. All in all it was a great trip for an even greater price - about $600.00 ea, taxes in AND all inclusive + a direct flight from Regina. My wife and I are going back in January, and I look forward to seeing all the great, friendly people at the Posada Real.

We stayed here in the middle of a 4-month road trip from Canada to Los Cabos and back in a campervan. After months of sleeping primarily in a van, we hoped to splurge on a stay at an all-inclusive. We were only able to do this if the price was right - and it was.

We have been to a nicer resort (Barcelo Colonial on Riviera Maya) that was paid for by parents, so we have no illusions about the Posada Real being fancy. It was nice enough though - clean and comfortable, with great service. The food was very good, with a lot of real Mexican offerings. We got the sense that this was a resort FOR Mexicans, not just staffed by them. Spanish was present on printed material, not just English, and the food was more legitimately Mexican and not as "Americanized" as other places we have experienced. Many of the other guests were Mexican - which is not typical of most other all-inclusives.

It is not a huge resort so facilities were basic, but adequate. There are a couple of bars (one swim-up), a pool, and the obligatory beach lounge chairs + palapas. The outdoor restaurant seating is nice - though the birds were often getting at the buffet.

We would not recommend the Posada Real to anyone looking for a sunshine vacation with lots of variety/action or for luxurious relaxation - you will not find it here. If you want water slides, jumpin' parties, 8 pools, and a variey of dining options - go elsewhere and pay many times more. If you are after a little quiet R&R, a more authentically Mexican resort, and are willing to trade the fine details for a reasonable price, this is the place.

Room Tip: On the "left" side of the resort, rooms facing outwards overlooked an empty lot (as of Jun...
