“$17 margaritas. Really?!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

We stopped in for dinner because we were staying nearby and wanted an easy meal within walking distance. It is on a very noisy highway with outside seating next to the road and limited indoor seating so we knew the atmosphere wouldn't be special but we didn't mind. The disappointing surprise was that the prices were high with entres at about $28 each and, no kidding, $17 Patron margaritas. The food was good but disappointing because it was too rich with bacon and cream rather than the fresh light seafood that we enjoy in Mexico. The waiters were friendly and service was fine but the prices are absolutely unwarranted. The bill ruined it for us considering the abundance of great meals to be had in much much nicer atmospheres than this. They do not take credit cards. We cannot recommend it.

“Consuelas! Consuelas!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Great restaurant, food was fabulous! Have the Consuela drink in the clay Mexican bowl..yum!. The staff are amazing..like Alfredo in the evening! Great service, the price point is well worth the trip to enjoy a meal here. The presentation on the entrees was absolutely beautiful!

“Always great food and excellent staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

We had 5 excellent meals there which means we tried other places, but were mostly disappointed and kept coming back here to eat. We stayed at Coral Baja and we were fortunate that it is located at the entrance to our resort. The staff is first class, always helpful and very friendly. We dined both inside and out, but as we like a quieter atmosphere (it fills up most nights) we will be doing take out in the future as our room and balcony is more pleasurable while enjoying their excellent food. We get a 10% discount while staying at Coral Baja, but you have to let them know each time as I forgot one day and did not get the discount. I will remember every time as we intend to return often. I guarantee you will be very and very full and satisfied. I find it hard to believe their rating on this site is not in the top 5 as their food was consisitantly excellent.

“Good for seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

A small restaurant near our condo which serves excellent seafood. There is always a fresh selection noted on a board at the entrance. Popular with locals and visitors, with friendly service as noted in other reviews) the location just off the transpeninsular highway is the only drawback.

“We didn't know what to expect...but wow...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

This place is a must have in San Jose Del Cabos. I literally cried during this meal due to the amazing food. My wife has just told me to name our first kid Christian after the server that gave us that amazing meal. We had the Seafood platter, New york strip steak, Seasonal Halibut served in a Rockefeller sauce, Seasonal Halibut grilled, Scallops, Cocoanut shrimp, Pina Colada's and Pacifico's. The beers were cold, the Pina Colada's were smooth and perfect, the scallops were amazing, the Steak was done in a perfect Medium and the Halibut made me wish I could eat it all night. My only complaint is that the Cocoanut shrimp was only amazing and not inspirational as was the rest of the meal...which is not actually a complaint, but a testament as to how earth shattering this meal was. There is no reason to rule this experience out in your trip itinerary. Service was amazing, Food was superb, Environment was killer, and the kicker...the price...was extremely reasonable. My wife and I had a priceless meal for 90 dollars American and couldn't have been more satisfied. Thank you Sardina Cantina for showing us what a true meal experience should be. My hat goes off to you.

Thanks for the memories,

MikeT
