This cafe is situated next to our hotel (Hotel Colli) so we came here every morning for breakfast. By breakfast I mean danishes and coffee. Although they serve big American breakfast but we didn't go for it.
I totally love all the pastry here. They are super yummy!
Two things travelers need to be aware of:
1. They add 15% service charge to your total bill as 'service' and they also have a container in front of the cashier that says 'tips'. So make sure you don't double tips the fellow.
--- After all, there isn't much service provided. You ordered your coffee and pastry at the counter, they bring you the food, and you pay at the counter. This is the only restaurant in San Jose that we patronized charge 15% service fee.
2. The owner or manager (a man) wants you to buy cooked breakfast.
--- This man around the age of 30 and he is usually at the other counter near the kitchen. One morning he came out and tried to sell us the cooked breakfast and we declined. He wasn't very happy so he gave me a piece of mushed-up danish. When I asked him to change, he wasn't very happy and gave me a burned one instead.
Overall, food - excellent. service -thumbs down.
