We have made Meson Del Angel my "birthday" spot for several years. It continues to delight. As many reviewers have noted the best way to start is the table side Mojito service, all of them are incredible though I personally prefer the Blueberry/Basil version with Vodka. The food items are always excellent, well portioned and very nicely presented. Tonight we tried the Guacamole Casa, Octopus with Habanero Vinaigrette (not that hot), Chipotle Shrimp and Chile Rellano Nagalos. The Chile was especially wonderful as it is a very classic and hard to get recipe from Old Mexico from Pueblo. It is a Chile Poblano stuffed with ground beef with an amazing sauce of ground almonds and various fruits. It is a holdover from the Renaissance cuisine that the Spaniards brought with them to Mexico.
