“Great lunch”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

Had the lobster tacos, flank steak, and margaritas. All were amazing. We tripped over this place as it is in the back of a nice home goods store. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great as well.

“a block out of the way, but a world of good food”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

We went to the Thursday San Jose "Art Walk" and discovered this nice little patio behind a gallery and it looked inviting. After walking around the Art Walk for an hour or so and viewing many restaurants and patios we came back to Voila and were glad we did.
Rather than loud Mexican/American Country and Western music at 120 decibels, Voila had a jazz musician who played wonderful standards and alto and tenor sax softly while accompanied by a sound track.
Very nice as we enjoyed a couple glasses of wine with a chef's "amuse buce" of spaghetti with a riccotta stuffed canneloni.
The service was attentive, quiet and professional. A joy to experience.
For dinner my wife had the squash blossom gnocchi with orange braised quail - a beautiful presentation served in a delicious cheese sauce.
I had the "world famous" lobster burritto stuffed with avocado and mango, served with black beans and rice. A portion size that allowed us to take half home for an appetizer the next night.
Meanwhile, while enjoying these wonderful tastes, the musician quietly circulated amongst the guests. (not begging for tips !)
On Art Walk Thursday I suggest a reservation as by 7:30 all patio tables were full - or arrive early (6:30) as we did and managed to get a table with ease. Musician is only on Thursday; but the wonderful food is everynight.
(I think they will cater and deliver to nearby hotels - well worth a phone call to ask!)
Two full dinners, five glasses on wine = $110 USD, very reasonable for this quality of bistro.
We will return.

“Delicious lunch!”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

We had the patio to ourselves! A very nice respite from noisy traffic and crowds. Our waiter, Aldo, was attentive and friendly. The food was the best meal we have had so far, fresh, prepared well, and the presentation was lovely. We enjoyed fish tacos and the seafood enchilada. Portions were large...and easily shared. The sauces were perfect and not overpowering. The seafood in each dish was scrumptious. We almost felt like we had a private chef cooking our meal. Perhaps lunch and not dinner is their forte. Bathrooms were very clean. Lovely setting.

“Wow... a hidden Gem!”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Stopped for lunch there one afternoon and had to say the meal was the highlight of our stay. The food presentation was excellent and the taste was every bit as grand. A lovely courtyard setting and wonderful place to spend a couple of leisurely hours enjoying ones self. We will visit this place again for sure on future visits to Los Cabos!

“Very nice atmosphere and music”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

Courtyard restaraunt with very nice atmosphere a little different than the usual courtyards in San Jose as it is attached to an art gallery. The music was soft and very enjoyable contribution to the experience. The food was good. A little 'pricey' and service for drinks was slow not just for us but others as well. There were a few complaints. But you are in paradise so who minds slow?
