I rented an owner's time share. You don't know where the room is located until you check in and see what's available. It was my first time so I took room 4211, on the ground floor. It was terrible, dark, a walkway right outside my patio and it opened out on the open air dining room. I could sit on my patio and watch folks having dinner a few feet away. No sea view at all. The price of the rooms is the same, view or no view. Another first time couple came from Chicago and had a view of a hedge. If you're familiar with the resort, you ask for a room as high up in whatever building they have open when you check in! They were able to move me to the fourth floor of the building, room 4242, and the view of the sea and whales was gorgeous. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The food is mediocre. The pools are beautiful and well landscaped. The resort is on a steep hillside and you call for a golf cart to get around unless you are quite physically fit. A real plus is to be able to use the " sister" resort facilities, Pacifico, and in town, Pueblo Bonito Rose and Blanco for ocean swimming.
