Glass Bottom Boat Tour

We paid $30 for four adults on a newer boat. We had not done this trip in many years and was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. All the rock formations were pointed out, the Pacific was calm enough to go around the point to see Divorce Beach (on Valentine's Day!) too. We opted for the tour only and did not spend time on the beach. Catch the boat right in front of Mangos and spend some time getting the right deal. If you remember take some chips or bread to attract the fish and be sure to tip your boat 'captain'.

Captain Victor Manuel soto Martinez located at the marina in cabos (near Johnny rockets burger place) was a great choice for private whale watching. You may bring your own cooler, or he will stop at the mini mart on the water, where you can do a last minute beverage purchase. There is a bathroom on the boat as well. He was very accommodating and with the glass bottom 25 foot panga boat you are able to get VERY close and we were even able to hear the whales. The tour lasted about 2-2 1/2 hours and ran our group of 4 , $150 us. He Gave us a tour of the arch and got up close to the sea lions. We would definitely book with him again.

We were in a group of 12 people so we rented a private boat tour. We didnt' go through the hotel, we just got a taxi from San Jose to Los Cabos for $ 50 for all of us and made a deal with a boat captain at the marina for about $70 for a private tour. Don't be afraid to walk away from a deal if your not getting the price you want. You can save lots of money if you learn to barter and walk away, plus it's a lot of fun and is one of the highlights of the trip is bartering with the local's and them bartering back. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but it can be lots of fun if you play it like a game.

Anyway, we took the tour and it was great - worth every penny regardless what you paid. Get them to drop you off at the ARCH or LOVERS BEACH ( same thing) for a hour, theres lots to explore, great beach and well worth the time. Definitely a must see if your in the area.

You have to bargain with them for the price. If you are travelling with your friends (more people you are with), better deal you will get !!!! Few people may get sea-sick because of the sea wave.
