This is the restaurant we go to for all special occasions when we're in Cabo. Anniversaries, Birthdays, Romantic evenings and anything else you can think of. The view is awesome and sunset is beautiful, especially when the entire staff blows their conch shells when the sun hits the horizon. We always been pleased with our meals as well. The food is just a beautiful as the view...a real feast for the eye. We took our daughter there for her 21st birthday and they surprised her with a special desert plate that had "Happy 21st Birthday" written on it in chocolate. We always look forward to this special treat every time we're in town.

I gave my future wife an engagement ring on a boat at the arch on March 9. That evening we went to dinner at Sunset Da Mona Lisa. We were told by many people that this would be the most romantic spot for dinner in the area. We were so happy we went. The sunset was magnificent, dinner delicious and it seems as you are sitting in a planetarium looking at the night sky. We will certainly return on our next visit.

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and told to wait a few minutes for the hostess. Sun was setting and very pretty but sky was quite cloudy so probably wasn't the best day to go.

I emailed multiple times to Edith, the hostess who sat us, and requested a table outside to view the sunset. We were seated inside and told there was no more room outside.

Had a couple of very delicious Mojitos out on the deck and watched what we could of the sunset. We came back to our table and ordered a Tuna Carpaccio appetizer which was delicous also and probably priced right.

Service was pretty slow as it generally is in Mexico but we thought at this upscale of a place it would have been better. Told waiter we'd need a couple minutes for entrees, about 20 mins passed before we ordered.

I had the Risotto, it was a pretty small portion but had 4 jumbo shrimp on top which were of fairly high quality. Taste of the Risotto was ok, but nothing I would get again. The lady had a trio of pastas, all of which were very good, particularly the pesto, but IMO not worth 320 pesos.

Wine list was quite extensive if you were willing to drop a couple hundred USD. We got a 450 peso Chilean Sauvignon Blanc which was just okay. Guess we got what we paid for :).

With tip, 2 drinks, a bottle of wine, an app, and 2 entrees we dropped $157. I can say I've had much better meals for the price, but the food was still good just not great. All the prices were in USD which bothers me for some reason.

All-in-all I'd probably go back next time if I had more money to blow but I'd recommend the pizza upstairs before the main restaurant

Thank you so much for taking the time of writing such a detailed review. We truly appreciate it, since it is an honest feedback of what can be done better. We have done in the last few weeks some adjustments to the menu, so hopefully next time is more to your satisfaction. We are continuously working on expediting service and more importantly adjust to the clients needs, sin ce specially in our place, a dinner that usually takes 2 hours, our clients take 3.5 hours per their choice, but we need to be sensitive that each experience needs to be unique and customized; so we appreciate very much the opportunity of working on this.

We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in either of both locations, Sunset Point or Sunset da Mona Lisa.

My boyfriend and I went to the Mona Lisa and this was the highlight of our trip (and we did everything from tours to great eats). We arrived around 6 PM and had a glass of wine overlooking the view. Then we made our way to the table which sat on the rocks overlooking the sunset and ocean. The meal was over 3 hours as we enjoyed the romantic dinner and sunset. I would highly recommend the tuna as it is very good and a large rare cut. Make sure to call ahead so you can get reservations on the rocks outside.
