We love to walk around the marina to see the boats, birds, sea lions, and fish being brought in. There are some wonderful restaurants with a great view. Lots of shopping is available, either in kiosks or regular stores, and often you can get a better deal if you bargain a little. Of course there are some who try to sell you jewelry, cigars, etc., as you walk along, but all you have to do is to say, "No gracias." There are some very friendly people who are just trying to make a living, but be very wary of those who offer you discount activities if you will sign up for their timeshare presentations. We were taken in by one who said it wasn't really a timeshare, but it was a new place (Cabo Viejo) and they were just trying to get people to visit and see what they had to offer. Pass them by! You will meet lots of good people in Cabo, but don't believe the promises that the hucksters tell you. You can get discount activities on the marina without signing up for a timeshare.
