If you come to Cabo you have to experience the marina. The boats, restaurants, flea markets, shopping, and yes the walking vendors. The Vendors can be annoying, but most move on with a polite "no". The bars always have a game on to keep you occupied if the other half of your party is busy shopping. You can also book all your activities here, but watch out for the time share sharks..they will offer the "almost free" deal which can wind up costing you some time. It's still a good place to stretch your legs and look around.

Being that it our first trip to Mexico, I suppose it was more of an annoyance than it may be to a seasoned traveler, but I found the constant line of people on the street trying to sell me things very disturbing. Even when we sat at a table in the open-air lounge of a restaurant directly across from the marina, strolling mariachi bands would come into the bar, right up to our table, and start playing music, hoping we would give them a tip. The constant "No thank you" got to be pretty old. We ended up going downtown only once during our stay.

Walk along here and you will be asked if you want to go whale watching, fishing, or eat a meal. It is a lot of fun- and quite safe.

We love Mexico - anywhere - great people and wonderful sights and food... but tourists seem to be avoiding like the plague.... So sad to see some of our favourite places either closed or empty. There is nothing to be afraid of here... the vendors can be a little annoying after saying "No Gracias" so many times, but they are just trying to make a living too.
That being said... the Marina at Cabo San Lucas is a wonderful way to spend the morning, afternoon or evening. Most of the bars have 2 for 1 "happy hour" drinks all day... a great way to sit and people watch and boat watch... but "watch out" the food can be costly. Loved being there.

here you can shop for souvenir and activities, bunch of vendors. Negotiate and understand what come included.
there's a lot of stores but the one the has the best price is across by senor frog's. Make sure the price is right when you pay for it. we got charged $10 more than what it is.
we had chip and salsa from the restaurant at the marina don't remember the name but i think it is the smallest one. it was very good.
everywhere has drink special 2 for 1, but we don't drink so...
there's also a small flea market you can walk around.
