The serpentine design gives a lot of storefronts and eateries space. The Bisbee tournament added to the activities this time. More places to eat and shop are added each time we come. This creates a "center" for this town.... to see people and be seen. A great place to stroll and people watch.

Love watching the busy marina in the morning and when the boats come back with their catch.

We loved Cabo San Lucas, and the Marina! After several days though, we were tired of the endless people trying to sell us something... a water taxi, a fishing trip, hat, whistle, "Cuban Cigars," etc, etc, etc. Being able to watch the boats and be on the Marina was worth the constant harrassing by the locals, but if you have not been to Cabo, be prepared for the endless barage of salesmen and women! There were several good restaruants at the Marina. We had lunch, 3 tacos and a beer for $6, at Soloman's Landing, and it was very tasty. Most of our meals were eaten at places just off the Marina because we felt they were cheaper and more authentic, but the atmospher and view from the marina were great!

Returning to harbor after catching 3 MARLIN on our first Sport-fishing adventure in Cabo was a HUGE THRILL!! As we had read reviews of bad experiences with crew and salesmen, we went to the Marina to book our trip with great caution. After speaking with numerous operators, we chose our favorite boats and booked through Jorge Luna of Rancho Tours. He actually took us onto the boats and gave us trustworthy advice about each boat, the prices, and the crew. Be sure to tell him your exact interest (tuna, marlin, etc.) so he can make the perfect fit for you. He was dead on!

In fact, because of our great experience, I arranged a trip for my daughter and her college friends. As we had returned home, Jorge arranged for transportation to and from the hotel, food, beverages, fishing license, and was very conscientious about the cash we gave him for expenses. You can email Jorge ahead of time to book your trip at georgeboy25@hotmail.com or just ask for him at the Marina near Pier A. He speaks great English, is very accommodating, and HONEST!

Last but not least, we had TERRIFIC fishing with Captain Poncho Bosorquez, and his crew Nestor and Jesus. Tell Jorge and the crew what fish you are looking for to be sure you have booked enough time. Some of the largest fish are in the Sea of Cortez and a full day is a must. Tuna can be found closer to the marina. Our tuna was quickly turned into tuna ceviche "Cabo Style" by the crew and was great eating on the boat. The crew also allowed us to "Catch and Release" the Marlin, but still brought them in the boat for photos.

If you've never tried sport fishing before, this is the place to experience it. Can't wait to return!
