I have been three years in a row and I never get tired of coming. Wonderful staff Huge rooms and always beautiful and clean. One of the best places I have ever stayed. Highly recommend! Gourgous pools, spa and beach. With 2 for 1 daily food specials

We had one of the smaller units on the sixth floor which was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and always cheery. The grounds were very nice and got a lot of sun. The pools were excellent. Room service food was delicious and fast.
My only issue was all the noise from the three major clubs right on the beach in front of the hotel. Obviously not the hotel's fault but it could get annoying at times. Thankfully the sliding glass doors were good sound barriers.

Room Tip: The closer to the first floor, the less noise you get from the beach clubs.

We stayed here for 9 nights in a Junior suite. When we got there the staff were really friendly but unfortunately we felt a bit overwhelmed as we hadn't even checked in and we were being told about the "free breakfast". This was for us to listen to a 90 minute presentation about the hotel and activities so we politely declined.

The room was really clean and the maid did a brilliant job. The outlook was great into the sea, the pool had really great sun beds and the pool was really lovely.

The cocktails and service round the pool was brilliant and the meals were really reasonably priced too. All in all a good hotel and an enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for 9 nights and have a mixed review.
On arrival we were sat down and quite forcibly persuaded to attend a free breakfast with a 90min "VIP" presentation for tours and excursions (we did not attend).
We had a 1 bed suite with sea view booked, our room was on the first floor (pool level) so we could not view the sea, however the room was very large and the kitchenette handy to keep drinks cold and prepare breakfasts on the days we had early starts due to fishing trips.
Could also reheat any left over food from the massive portions served in some restaurants.
Location is right on Medano beach and was only 10min walk from the Marina, you could not ask for better.

Sunbeds by the pool were a nightmare, it was supposed to be first come, first served, but this was never enforced, towels were constanly reserving sunbeds.
Service by the pool bar and beach bar was wonderful, buy one get one free on at least one drink and food item each day, plus two happy hours.
B lounge had some nice smaller food items, the portions by the pool were massive by English standards, so we often had to box them.

Hotel was noisy, got woken up at 5am for 5 consecutive mornings (cleaning cupboard right outside of our room) so I had to complain to reception, noise from staff then stopped.
Staff did keep the hotel and pool area extremely clean.
Lots of noise from Mango deck bar and often heard loud, drunk girls coming back at 3 in the morning.

The concierge definately seemed to favour the American guests, they were helping me to contact my shuttle to the airport and stopped part way through and dealt with two seperate American parties.

I recently stayed here for one week and had overall a very enjoyable stay. The property is immaculate with a beautiful view. The rooms cannot be beat and all have dining areas and kitchens too. I was in a one bedroom suite and it was perfect for a family with a toddler. The staff was very attentive too and upon check-in once we were in our room they provided us with a high chair and also baby-proofed the corner of the glass dining table.
The pool had great happy hours and daily 2-for-1 specials on drinks and food. That made for good value. Loved that the pool also had inflatable tubes and loungers that could be borrowed. That was nice touch. And if you bought your own they would inflate it and deflate it too.
The hotel is great location that provides walkability to marina and downtown. This was nice, but came with price as it was quite noisy with club music come night time due to the close proximity to Me Cabo Hotel/Nikki Beach and Mango Deck.
Only other disappointment with the hotel was that they had said that they had strollers on site that could be borrowed, so for this reason we did not bring ours which was nice not to have to lug...but, once there we learned that there is only ONE stroller and it had been checked out and they didn't know when it would be returned. I would think if you only have one then you should have restrictions on the length of time that it can be checked out for in order to have the possibility of being available for other guests too.
Overall would recommend for an enjoyable stay, but would recommend to bring earplugs for night time if you go to sleep before 2AM.

Definitely one my favorite place down there, the penthouse is really chill, the atmosphere is very laid back. But if your looking to have a righteous time there are many close clubs around, watch out for some of them though! If you go out at night id recommend having friends or family with you while you do. I got extorted by the cops down there at the marina a little over a year ago just because these two guys tried to sell me some drugs an i said no an continued walking. More to it than that but anyway. Enjoy your time there an have fun! Safe travels! :)

Room Tip: There is a good view in all places, the penthouse agave azul is pretty killer!

I stayed at Casa Dorada in May 2013 for 11 nights with my husband and another couple and loved it. It is in the best location right on Medano beach where you can book all water sports and tours which is alot cheaper than booking through the hotel, you can barter with the guys so don't pay full price for any tours. It's the only swimming beach in Cabo which is safe and clean and have great restaurants all within walking distance. Only a 10 minute walk to the marina where alot of the restaurants are a bit pricey. We found a great restaurant Maca's which is fab we had lobster tail and steak and lobster and prawns for $16.95 US each and it was delicious. We felt that we could not have picked a better hotel, the views are amazing, the staff friendly and the rooms were huge all with views. Loved it, would love to go back. Also the fish taco's by the pool where amazing, buy one get one free on Sundays.
