“Great property and great experience”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Beautiful setting and outstanding staff. All staff were pleasant, helpful, and most spoke quite good English. Paul Lopez, one of the bellboys, was especially helpful, cheerful and always a bright part of our day. Overall, an excellent property and they are trying really hard to give their guests a great vacation. Only con......food and drinks are overpriced on the resort property. Go to town for better food and much better prices.

Room Tip: Phase 1 rooms are close to the beach and spectacular view.

We spent the week of 1 to the 8 september 2013, we were at the second building in a lower floor close to the pool, the view was limited but the balcony is very quiet and very relaxing, the rooms are great and clean, the staff is excellent, Alejandro at the pool is very helpful, also the bartenders at El Patio, the restaurants: the service is great, even better at the Trajineras, the food is ok nothing to write home about it, but unless you rent a car, going into town or taking the shuttle ($10 pp round trip) that runs every 2 hrs, the all included makes sense ($10 a drink and $25 a meal the $95 a day p/p plan works, also includes a horseback ride and a sauna). We really had a good relaxing time.

Just returned from a trip to Cabo, stayed at the Hacienda Encantada. We were greeted with margaritas and cold beer, felt very welcomed upon arriving until the day we left. Thanks to Andres, Paul and Manuel for their great service (and everyone else that works there). The resort is beautiful, rooms were beautiful, food at Las Marias was just ok, wasn't impressed. Overall the stay at the Hacienda Encantada was great!

We spent the week of our anniversary at the Hacienda Encantada from Sept 1-8 2013. From the moment we stepped off the shuttle to the morning we left, the staff made this trip for us. The views are fantastic, the room was great and the food is good. We want to thank Paul (the bellman), Alexis, Martha, and Jorge (the pool bar) and Karla (who gave us the timeshare tour) for making this week so memorable and giving us the best service we have ever had in Mexico. We absolutely loved this place and we will be back again.

Room Tip: The rooms in phase one are for owners. We went during the slow season and were able to upgrade to p...

We regularly travel to Cabo to fish but this is the first visit to this resort. This is a large sprawling resort/time share property that is beautiful.

Pools: There are 2 swimming pools, the infinite pool is beautiful with a swim up bar. It is not too large and you should be there early to stake your spot. I found the staff at the bar to be disinterested and not service oriented. You had to seek out wait staff for drinks and once engaged seemed to care less if you were satisfied. The other pool is larger and was empty most of the time. I chose to be there however, the bar/service area was never open. You could not have lunch or get a beverage if you chose to be at this pool. Very disappointing and limited your options significantly.

The Tequila Bar/sushi stand and hot tub area is nice. However, it does not open until 530pm, again limiting your options. The staff at the Tequila bar was nice but if you are All inclusive bear in mind there are only 2 Tequila's they will serve you without additional charge. The sushi was what you might get at Costco. Mushy rice and minimal fish. They did have a live music performance that was pleasant to listen to in the evening there.

Restaurants available were Marias and Las Trajineras. We never made a reservation for LT, so we ate at Marias for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was average with the best bet an omelette made by Carmen. Very friendly and omelette well made. Dinner was average, and honestly cannot even remember what we had so to say the least, not memorable.

Rooms: The room is nice and big with a nice size bathroom, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Cleanliness of the room was a real gross out for me. When searching for a plug to charge electronics I came across someone elses nasty panties. GROSS....... Also, the ceiling fan was covered with a layer of dust.

If you are at all limited in your walking abilities, this resort can pose a problem. 6 of the 7 days we were there the elevators did not work....and we were on the third floor. I have rheumatoid arthritis and this was a real problem for me, but I survived. Just had to plan my coming and going from the room. Also the pools, restaurants, convenience store, anywhere you want to go is a considerable distance. They do have golf carts available for you to call to take you to the restaurant. These gentlemen were always kind and courteous to provide transportation when you called on them.

The resort has great eye appeal but I cannot get past the cleanliness issue. Will not return.

Sorry about your illness and we apologies for the inconvenience with the elevator, now it's already working. It is unfortunate the issue of the fan and the dust and it was resolved with the person responsible. Thank you for your coemments and hopefully you could give us a second chance

The hotel is a very beautiful property. It's decorated very nicely. Rooms are spacious and bell staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the fine treatment by Andres, Paul and Manual of the bell staff. The restaurants did not impress us. The grounds were very well kept and the pools were very nice. We were glad the hotel had shuttle service to the marina, otherwise, you were stuck at the hotel, unless you rented a car or depended on taxi service.

Room Tip: Stay on a top level floor so that you don't here your upstairs neighbors when they return home a...

We traveled here in January 2013. The hotel was nice, clean rooms, very good and attentive staff. What really makes this place awesome was the views from the infinity pool. We were there during the whale migration season. On one day we must have seen almost 2 dozen whales (5 or 6 pods) and 2 schools of dolphins. That was well worth the price of the entire trip. If you just want to sit on a beach chair, stare out at the ocean all day, and have drinks brought to you all day, this is your place.

We didn’t really the fact that building closest to the ocean, which have the best views, are all of the timeshare folks. Other than that it was a nice stay. Be nice and don't forget to tip the staff.
