We are on our last day here and from the second we stepped out of shuttle Marco the bellman went out his way to make sure we were well taken care of. Our trip was made exceptionally better because of Marco and his willingness to go above and beyond.

All the staff were lovely and there to help you. The food and drinks were amazing and the private beach bed is a must for at least one day . The one on one service from your own bartender and the remote beach made this day unforgettable. We can not wait to come back. As two younger girls the nights were quiet but the we can to enjoy that and the fun was a short shuttle ride away!

If you want luxury and relaxation this is the place to go!

My husband and I went to Cabo for our 10th anniversary. We chose the Pacifica because we wanted an adults-only experience. We have two small children who stayed home with their grandparents. Since we didn't have our children with us we really don't want to hear any other children crying, whining, etc. We wanted a peaceful and relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we got. The hotel was very quiet and tranquil and at times we felt as if we were the only ones there. We definitely enjoyed that though. In the afternoons there was a band or DJ down at the pool, along with other activity if you wanted. We loved the hotel and thought everyone went out of their way to help us. We were blown away by how beautiful the hotel was and thought the room was equally wonderful. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The hotel smells absolutely amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The balcony was very roomy with big fluffy chairs and we had an amazing view of the ocean, the pool, and the grounds. The chairs on the balcony were so comfortable I actually fell asleep out there several times. Every room appeared to be oceanfront and equally as nice. I can't imagine there is a bad room in the whole place. This was our first all-inclusive trip and we thought we may run into issues or have a few problems but we DID NOT! Everything was included. I am a big time foodie/chef and will tell you that we loved going down to the breakfast buffet at the Siempre. They had the very best fruit, we loved the power smoothies, and my husband loved the omelet station. Dinner at Siempre was very impressive and equally delicious. A reservation is needed to dine at Siempre for dinner but thankfully I had researched this when we booked and we made reservations ahead of time. I would suggest that anyone booking at Pacifica make reservations at Siempre every night. You can always change your mind and cancel if you decide to dine elsewhere. We also made a reservation for a beach bed ahead of time and really enjoyed having drinks out on the beach. That night we had dinner on the beach (not part of the all-inclusive) and it was so amazing! The servers really made us feel special and the meal was wonderful. A very memorable experience for sure. We also visited the spa and had a couples massage that was absolutely wonderful. Overall we had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back. I nearly cried when we had to leave. We will definitely stay at the Pacifica again.

I'd also like to add a note about some of the negative reviews listed here. I really can't imagine anyone having anything negative to say about this hotel. The rooms are definitely not small, I'm pretty sure there are no rooms with bad views, we did have a wet bar in our room that was complimentary, the room service only took 10-15 minutes, and our beach bed was made up perfectly every time we used it. The Pacifica was truly a dream vacation for us and I can't help but feel that some of the reviewers are a little too spoiled for their own good. If you're too good to enjoy a relaxing vacation in paradise then you have some major issues you need to explore.

I also want to share that they will ask you to go to a timeshare presentation upon check in. It is not mandatory at all and I would definitely say no next time, but my husband really wanted to go so we went. They will tell you it lasts 90 minutes and it's really more like two and a half hours, but I had expected that anyway. You will not be stuck in a dark room looking at an overhead or screen the entire time. You actually get to check out some beautiful multi-million dollar properties. I'm talking majorly beautiful cliff side homes overlooking the ocean with infinity pools and more. If you have the time it is worth it. I will say that we had to get pretty aggressive when it was time to leave. Be prepared to say no several times. We did get a wonderful spa package and some tequila out of the deal so it was totally worth it this time around. Something to think about if you enjoy looking at gorgeous homes and want a few freebies.

P.S. We vacationed April 12th through April 19th. The weather was a little chilly in the morning and at night (this is mostly due to the high winds). If you're anywhere on the hotel property the staff will provide ponchos and/or Mexican blankets to keep you warm. However, I would highly recommend bringing long sleeves, pants, sweatshirts, etc. The wind has a way of making it feel at least 15-20 degrees cooler than it really is.

I really have nothing but praise for the Pacifica and the staff!! Thanks for such a wonderful time! It was a dream vacation for us and I think most people would feel the same way. Can't wait for another visit.

My husband and I just returned from a week at PB Pacifica. It was everything we were hoping it would be. Karim greeted us upon arrival and took excellent care of us. He made sure our safe was replaced and got our TV to work with our music system all within the first hour. He was great. Also Javier was a big help. One of our favorite bartenders was Ofelia in the Partidos bar by the main lobby. Her smile and sense of humor helped make our trip special.

The room was very nice. The bed was pillow-top and the airconditioning kept us very cool. The food was all so delicious; we never had a bad meal there. The room mini bar was stocked everyday with water, coke, diet coke, sprite, pacifica beer and corona light beer. My husband also drank Budweiser (can) in the main lobby bar.

The grounds were kept emaculate and the all the people were so nice and polite. We took the free shuttle to the PB Sunset several times. Then we reserved the free bus from the PB Sunset to the PB Rose/Blanco downtown. We ate and drank at all of the sister resorts and walked to downtown Cabo one day. It is a 15 min. walk.

All and all we had a wonderful vacation at the PB Pacifica and look forward to staying there again sometime.

We stayed at this resort for a week in April 2013 and were really happy we did. The property itself is about an hour drive from San Jose del Cabo airport. The drive is easy and very scenic. If you are travelling with a tour operator, do yourself a favour and arrange for your own transfers as this hotel will be the last stop on the tour bus and could add another hour to your drive.

The resort was built as a wellness retreat. The property is full of light, the lobby was full of lavender frangrance and the large water feature in the centre creates a sense of calm as soon as you walk through the main entrance.

The staff were wonderful, especially the concierge staff. They went out of their way to help us with reservations for dinner and to arrange excursions for us. There is a time share desk in the lobby, and the other 2 couples we were travelling with were directed over to the desk to get their all inclusive bracelets and were offered a tour of the timeshare property, but once they declined it was never discussed again. Because my husband and I have different last names we were not sent to the timeshare desk. There was always a staff member at the desk, but they never approached anyone so this is a non-issue.

The rooms were well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel have a selection of pillow types available should you want something specific.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, with gorgeous cactus gardens and raked sand. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable. There are very strong riptides and huge waves which are really cool to watch, but keep all your swimming activities to the pool.

The hotel is a quick 10 minute taxi ride into downtown Cabo ($12usd one way). You can also take one of the free shuttles to the other properties.

Shuttles are one of the things that I couldn't find much information about before our trip - so here is how they work. There is a small shuttle that runs from Pacifica to Sunset. This is scheduled for every quarter hour (1:15 and 1:45 for example) but we found that they would call the shuttle for us pretty much whenever we wanted it. The drive from Pacifica to Sunset is less than 5 minutes. It is walkable, but it's all up a very steep hill.

From Sunset you can take a larger shuttle (coach bus) to the Rose. This runs every 1/2 hour. When you are dropped off at Sunset you are by the coffee shop (and the timeshare desk). You can get a golf cart to take you anywhere you want to go in the resort.

The Rose and the Blanco are right next to each other, both directly on Medano beach. From either property it is a short walk to the Marina and the rest of Cabo.

Restaurants

At Pacifica there are 2 restaurants. The main restaurant is Siempre. This is where we had breakfast each day (a la carte or buffet). Siempre also serves lunch & dinner a la carte. There is also Aire restaurant which is an open air buffet by the pool. We had dinner here one night but it was very chilly and dark. Probably a great spot in the summer though.

With the All Inclusive option you have access to all the restaurants at the other 3 resorts as well. We had dinner at The Bistro (Sunset) and at Fellini's (Rose), both of which require reservations, however we found that it was easy to get reservations even last minute. We also ate at the bar at Sunset by the adult pool (can't remember the name of it) and it was quite good. Regardless of where we ate the food was delicious, and definitely better than the average all inclusive fare.

Excursions - we were looking for a relaxing lay by the pool kind of vacation so the only excursion that I booked prior to arrival was with Whale Watch Cabo. The whale watching was phenomenal, and the service was amazing. Once we arrived we realized just how many other great things there was to do. We did an amazing Luxury Sailing day with Cabo Adventures, a Dolphin Training day with Dolphin Discovery and an off road adventure. We also spent a fair bit of time just wandering around Cabo and exploring the marina, shops and restaurants.

Overall I highly recommend Cabo as a destination, and the Pueblo Bonito hotels as your home away from home. Each of these hotels has it's own style and character, but all are wonderful places.

Room Tip: The hotel is U shaped. Oceanview rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors. We opted to stay with a regu...

Just got back from a weeks stay. We were greeted by Marco and Karim when we got to the hotel. They always made every interaction memorable. Rooms are great, grounds well kept. Service at the pool and main restaurant was very poor. Alexis at the sushi restaurant was outstanding. The biggest down side there were few activities so we spent a lot of time in town. The spa services were outstanding. We did a timeshare tour at Sunset and received spa credits. It was well worth the 2 1/2 hours and being disrespected at the end of the tour by a horrible sales women because we wouldn't make a purchase. It was a nice time but I probably stay closer to the Marina if we go to Cabo in the future. Take the ECO catamaran trip ( they also have a nice little bar in the Marina ). It was a great time and we even saw whales. The Happy Ending Bar is another place to visit. They made us feel like family.

I was very excited to stay here because I've stayed in several places in MX and a 4-1/2 star is usually an amazing experience. But this wasn't. I wouldn't say it was bad, but I would not have paid the amount I paid, had I known that it was more like a 3 star. Food selection was scarce and although a nice coffee shop was advertised, lattes were extra. Seemed we were nickel and dimed. Room service took forever! The room had no ocean view, and you couldn't even swim in the ocean at the hotel (notes saying it was deadly),very few and pathetic activities included, it was a small room with one sink in the bathroom, a shower with no tub, also no wet bar in room like most 4-1/2 stars have and they advertise that you can eat at their sister property too, but it's $20/meal. Specials at the restaurant are extra too. I've had better customer service, nicer/larger room with great views and more restaurants and things to choose from - included. Will not stay here again. The one positive was that they were still nice and the grounds are very pretty. Spa was really cool and swimming pools as well. Like the swim up bar.
