Owner description: Spectacular course, with dramatic views of the sea from every hole.

It was easy to see why the Cabo Real Golf Course is rated among the best in Baja. Tough but fair course design. Many elevation changes. Wonderfully distracting views of the ocean from many holes. Five tee boxes to challenge all skill levels.

The course was in excellent condition. The rental clubs were first class. There was a discount for guests of the Melia resort. There were additional discounts at Campestre San Jose and Puerto Los Cabos for Melia guests. All three courses are owned by the same corporation.

The course was not busy and 18 holes were completed in about 3.5 hours. Worth playing again and again....

Visiting in Los Cabos in July during the hottest time of the year calls for an early tee time, 7.10am tee off.
Staying at the Westin Los Cabos, this course is only about 10min away. Thank god there was (free) coffee at the club house when we checked in.
Pro Shop is nice, well sorted although not too extensive offer of retail.
We rented clubs (45US), they were probably 3 or 4 years old, Taylormade, but for our level perfectly fine, with all irons, fairway woods and driver, as well as hybrids.
Karts weren't new either, however, had a screen with GPS, commenting on every single hole (it seems to refer to teeing off from blues), measuring distance, and scoring.
Finishing hole 8 a screen came up where we could order our breakfast online, which technically then is ready by the time you finish 9. (it wasn't, but the staff cought up with us on the green of 10 and delivered it to us).
The course was practically empty, we had a great time and finished in just over 3 hours, when heat was getting into play.

Out of the courses in Los Cabos I'd definitely recommend this one, you can find deals for summer season and shouldn't miss out on this Robert Trent Jones designed course.
Although only 3 holes are close to the ocean, from 75% of the course you can see the ocean, and it is a joy to play.

This course is very typical resort golf. Everything is good. But i feel it was a little more expensive than it needs to be. Palmilla i thought was a more creative design and worth every penny.
You get lots of little take-home trinkets here in a nice little bag. All of which seem like little extras, but remember you just paid 300 bucks to play. The views are wonderful. And some of the holes are quite dramatic and make for great photos. All in all i would play another course before coming back here but i certainly dont regret having played here.

My husband and I visited Cabo last summer, from August 5th-9th,2010. We played Club campestre, Palmilla and Cabo Real. Definetely Cabo Real was our best experience by far! We got the "beverage cart" included during our round of golf, wich was a nice amenity. This course is definetely a "must play in Cabo"!!

Played the course on 08/27/2010. Course itself was in good shape but greens had been aerated 2 days prior - no notification when I made tee time. Opted for the $20 beverage cart all-you-drink for wife and I and was told both in the pro shop and at the cantina at the end of the orund that drinks with lunch would be included - only had to pay for food. That was a lie. Ordered chicken quesadillas for lunch $7 US and when bill came was told it was $35. When questioned, was told all-you-can drink only good on course while playing - completely contrary to what we were told when we purchased the option and when we sat down for lunch after the round. My advice, play somewhere else. Sad to say that Cabo Real has stooped as low as the hawkers and street vendors trying to screw you out of your money instead of a high class operation trying to earn it.
