Ramuri is a great new brewery in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. We noticed it on our last visit to Cabo but did not have a chance to give it a try. This trip we wanted to give it a shot. We were seated upstairs on the outdoor patio with a great view of the city life. The food was very good and the service could not have been better. The staff was very friendly and we were even treated to a visit from one of the great brewers, Eduardo. The beers here a great and we were given a lesson and tour from one of the masters here at Ramuri. So many to choose from I suggest you drop by to try a few of them. Don't forget the food as well. Thanks again Ramuri staff.

After having Ramuri's Lagrimas Negras(Imperial Stout) last year on a trip from Cabo to LaPaz to swim with the whale sharks, we went back to Cabo and tried to find the brewery. No one knew where it was, or had even heard of it. This year we were on our way to dinner downtown, and there it was. Opening earlier this year, the establishment is very clean and warm. The attentive staff greets you at the door, with options of dining tableside or at the bar. Being a small batch brewer, I was overly impressed with their many different offerings of different styles of beer. We ordered a Dubel, and a Porter, to start the night off, and both were smooth , full of flavor, and very enjoyable. We met Marco, who gave us a tour of the very impressive facility, and also introduced us to Eduardo, the brewmaster. He calls himself the brewer, but after tasting his many different recipes, he is being very modest. We ordered a Ramuri pizza from the menu, which they have a stone oven to cook in. Soon thereafter a bread plate appeared with a pesto spread that was just amazing with flavors. Then we were brought a pork appetizer, it was also very flavorful. The pizza came, and we were very pleased with our choice for dinner. Crisp thin crust, great pairing of ingredients, being from Chicago, very impressive to find in Mexico. We then went upstairs where they have a band playing in an open air patio. Another large bar upstairs with more tables for dining. All in all, a GREAT experience in Cabo. We went back last night for a nightcap, and being here another week, we have plans for another dinner planned for Ramuri. REAL craft brewed beer in CABO is now a reality.

Clearly these folks take great care in the kitchen as well as their brewery. I enjoyed several small samples of their beers, each different and each very well made. I don't generally care for craft beers, but these guys make a finished product that belies the small size of their place. Enjoyed an interesting pizza, very like what we found in Rome, lots of high quality ingredients on a nice crust. They gave us some samples of their suckling pig and ribs, we will certainly be back! A little expensive for Cabo, very nice place to enjoy a good meal.

The two HOME BREWER boys of our foursome could not get away from their IPA. I loved the cuban michelada, the mango beer they had just put on tap, the fantastic margarita, and the absolutely to die for BREAD platter with something like pesto dip. (5 kinds of fresh bread!) BUT this is not the best of what brought us back. It was the boys that work there. The service and attention is great everywhere, but none better than Ramuri. Other huge hits were the atmosphere, decor, dancing to their live music up above, brewery tour, and having the brewer sit down and talk beer with us. We can't wait to come back every trip to Cabo!

My wife and I went here for dinner last week. Really excellent service from the moment we walked in the front door to the moment we left. We opted to sit upstairs on their outdoor deck...great atmosphere up there. They have a big bar up there, lots of tables. And flat screen TV's all around. On the way to the bathroom you can even see the brew room through creatively placed see thru panels in the floor - really cool. We were both really impressed from the moment we walked in.
Firstly, we ordered our beers. My wife wasn't sure which one to get, and the waiter graciously offered up a few samples based on her taste, to make her decision easier. I ordered the IPA, and I have to tell you, this was one of the BEST IPA's I've ever had...and being a hophead, I've had a LOT of IPA's. Great floral aroma, hopped really nicely, and left nice resinous lacing on the glass. Later, I ordered the sampler to try a number of the other beers: the Red Ale, Belgian Dubbel, Vienna Lager, Porter, Octobre, and the Saison. All great offerings, but I still can't get over that IPA!!
For a starter we ordered the octopus, the platter was HUGE....it was fantastic. We noticed that the table of 5 guys behind us ordered the same thing...so you know this is a really big platter to feed 5 men. My wife ordered the shrimp ravioli and I ordered the ribeye. We both loved our meals. The steak was perfectly grilled on one of those Argentinian-style wood burning grills that we saw when we first entered the restaurant. And lastly we ordered the chocolate tempura, which came with a porter granita and mint basil ice cream. The dark chocolate tempura was delicious. The granita didn't taste like much, but then we were told to try it with the mint basil ice cream. WOW, it really brought the granita to life, really cool how it pulled the flavors together. That ice cream was unlike any I'd had before (never had ice cream with basil in it), really bold and flavorful. Loved it, can't say enough about it.
And lastly, to top the evening off, one of the owners/brewmasters walked us out and on the way took us into the brewing room to show us around.
Really a top notch place. They treat the customer like a VIP guest in their own home. And the food and beer are outrageously good. We will definitely be going back on our next trip to Cabo in 2014. Highly recommend this place.
