“Pretty!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We signed up for a boat trip with Maria Bonita Adventures (look it up they were awesome) - for $10 + tip we got a glass bottom boat trip to the Arc & rocks and we were then dropped off at pelican rock/beach for how ever long we wanted - we opted for 2.5 hours. The snorkeling was great and there was a lot to explore. Of course the pelicans that sit on the rocks are fun to watch. I will add that you need to take some singles to tip the guys who help you on and off the boats - they also sell beer/drinks for about $4. Great day, will go back!

“unexpected thrill!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

While in Cabo, someone told us the snorkeling was good at Pelican Rock, which is located just to the right of Lovers Beach and El Arco/Lands End. It seems like a really small area, with lots of boat traffic but we decided to take a chance. We took a water taxi from the Villa del Palmar. The water was a bit choppy and as we neared the drop off point - a tiny beach between really large rocks I began to worry about getting ourselves and our gear off the boat. But a young man materialized just as we pulled up and was a big help with the bouncing boat and my dubious balance and agility! He led us to a good spot to drop our stuff and promised to keep watch over it for a small tip. The snorkeling was amazing. The water is very deep right off the beach and underwater it looks like a giant round fish-bowl with thousands of fish - some swimming in great schools below us. Dozens of varieties and sizes. There were also sea lions swimming and hunting in the area which was a real thrill. Our taxi came back in a couple of hours - pre arranged when he dropped us off, and our young assistant was there to help me aboard. Overall a fantastic and highly recommended experience! And cheap too!
