“A nice getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014 via mobile

We just returned from a long weekend getaway. This resort is amazing. The view is breath taking. The resort is spotless and the customer service was exceptional. You can lounge in a hammock, a cabana, by pool side or on the beach. There is a place for everyone. Their steakhouse was great as well. We had the tenderloin and it was the best steak I have eaten in a long time. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Just returned from 3 nights at this hotel this past weekend. We paid $372 per night on Priceline and I think we got a bargain. All of the food was better than average. We ate sushi at the sushi bar (the waitresses both ignored us for about 10 minutes but after getting served they were efficient), had dinner at an asian fusion restaurant down on the water which was delicious. Had an open kitchen in the middle. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Loved the omelets and breakfast burritos made to order. Bloody mary and mimosa bar :) Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to make you happy. We went to the Italian on Saturday night at 6pm (cannot go after 7pm with kids) and it was very fancy although quiet. They have a dress code so maybe that is why everyone was going to the Steakhouse downstairs. The steak at the Italian restaurant was better than steaks I've had at top restaurants in the States.
One thing that I really appreciated was that the wine was drinkable! Most all inclusives have the most awful wine and we were pleasantly surprised. Cocktails were great, they have lots of top shelf liquor.
My kids - aged 4 and 8 spent 2 full days at the kids club. They absolutely loved it. The staff took them to the beach to feed the tropical fish, to the pool to play games and did arts and crafts with them. They didn't want to spend the days with us which suited us, we were able to relax and read by the pool.
The room was small but clean and had an amazing view of the ocean. Kids complained that the sofa bed was uncomfortable and I agree it didnt look like it was a proper fold out.
We saw whales every day. Kids loved snorkeling with the equipment provided on the beach.
Only thing I was disappointed in was the entertainment at night time. They had the same 3 piece band by the fire pit the 3 nights we were there. Boring! Nothing else to do at night so we went to bed or watched TV. I guess if we didn't have the kids with us we would have gone into town but unfortunately that wasn't possible for us!
I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend to friends.

The wait staff are amazing, rooms are spacious and clean. The sights from the sit down balcony in your room are amazing! Food was good! Perfect visit! We would recommend the resort to anyone! Loved the pools, jacuzzi and infinity pool. Love seeing whales jump in the ocean from our room and down on the beach! Got up early to see the sun rise everyday---so breathtaking!

Just returned from Fiesta Americana. You could not ask for a nicer place. The property is just beautiful, rooms are clean and the people are even better. You could not have asked for more attentive or nicer staff. Everyone was smiling and quick to take care of whatever needs you had. A special thank you to Jorge (activities coordinator) and Jesus (Ivan) and Daniel who kept our drinks and food coming at the pool. Many others were just as nice but we didn't get to know them as well. The workers all work hard but never complain. A totally wonderful experience. We can't wait to go back!! One suggestion: The staff setting up the outside events work so hard. It would be nice if they had better work equipment, like carts with sides on it so stuff wouldn't fall off when they are bringing it down to the beach from the hotel. The walkways can be steep. We felt sorry for them. Also, they had to carry tables on their back from the beach to the hotel. You would think there would be an easier way to do this. It seems they need a storage area by the beach.

The property is beautiful and the Spa was one of the best I've been to. However the service was poor. Wifi and connectivity were spotty, inconsistent and frustrating. The stretch of beach is isolated, meaning it is difficult to go for a walk because Cabo Del Sol Golf course is on one end and rocks on the other. The food was ok, but top shelf liquor was hard to find. I won't be going back. Nice place but a lot left to be desired
