“Great food”
Reviewed March 6, 2012

Great food served here. When we were approached by the owner, we thought he was a time share salesman and rebuffed him, only to find out he was genuinely concerned about how we liked our meal. Sorry buddy !!

“Excellent service!”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

We decided to try this restaurant after driving by several times last month. There is no sign, but a large back-lit artichoke shows on the front entrance wall. The atmosphere is hip but still warm. They have some contemporary decor mixed with local art. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside even though it was a little chilly. We were wrapped in soft and warm ponchos by the staff.
Several dry-erase boards are located around the restaurant with cocktail list and menu. They only make a certain number of each dish nightly and the dishes change daily based on availability of ingredients. As the dishes are chosen and served, the number beside the selection on the dry-erase board is lowered. It's different and I liked it! Short ribs were good and the Kobe tenderloin was good! The creamed spinach: DELICIOUS! Order it. They have a decent wine list. The service was the real clencher. Some of the best in Cabo without question. Everyone was personable, inviting, and helpful. They arrived at the table at the perfect time and didn't linger too long. It was a fabulous experience!!! The food was a bit expensive, but it's Cabo.....

“Owner/Manger was so nice!! Plus food was awesome”
Reviewed February 23, 2012

I love artichokes so this place was an instant draw. My BF was enamoured with the asparagus and told everyone about the dish and restataurant during the rest of our trip. I think we were responsible for sending several couples there. The staff, especially the manager/owner was so nice and friendly. He gave us tips on eating artichokes and asked about our music preferences and then gave us a free chocolate desert (which was amazing).

We loved the dry erase board menu concept and thought it was funny how they had numbers that showed how many were left of certain items (no pressure there!). We also felt bad for the poor guy who was in charge of keeping the candles lit on a windy night.

“For something nice and differebt in cabo”
Reviewed February 23, 2012

We seré recomendar here by a friend for my aniversary. Location is good ambiance is very nice with indoor and outdoor options. No printed menus; they use a board and let you know what they are making fresh that day and quantities of what is available. The food was reall very very good. We started with fat crackli vs from ribeye with this special tart yet scrumptious sauce. We had amazibg clam chowder next and it was different than anything j have ever tried and so good. Then I ordered fresh raviolis filled with cheese and spinach with this to die for sauce and My wife had a gilet of steak and it was perfectly prepared. For desert he has Creme brûlée which was some of the best we have had and I have like a chocolate volcano which was also one of the best I have had. Food and drinks are a bit overpriced so I will. It frequent too often but for a special occasion, and the food is certainly wonderful so it is definitely one of my best food options in Cabo.

“A Gourmet Find in Casual Cabo”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

We dined there on the recommendation of locals and were delighted to find a gourmet restaurant in notoriously casual Cabo! After we approached the place from the proper direction to notice the discreet artichoke-shaped cutout at the front of the restaurant, we were welcomed by a warm indoor/outdoor setting and seated at a table of our choice. Fresh young red lettuce in a growing pot served as table decoration, which was then whisked away and lined up with flightdozens others along the back wall, but replaced by an artistically arranged and tasty bread basket. The atmosphere was inviting, the music pleasant but unobtrusive, the service very attentive.

A whiteboard with constantly updated menu items was wheeled over and we studied the many items based on fresh available ingredients of the day. The two ladies enjoyed an excellent Chilean sauvignon blanc, while the gentlemen continued to enjoy their staple Cabo beverage - Pacifico.

We shared a fresh artichoke appetizer, declared very tasty by all (even this less-than-enthusiastic artichoke fan). The arugula salad (according to Steve Martin in My Blue Heaven "is is a vegatabal!") was about beyond fresh, having just been picked from the growing pots in the back. Then the owner came over and offered us a complimentary taste of special Iberian prosciutto, which he carved expertly near our table-side - it was exquisite, even if quite pricey.

My friend's short rib was about as tender and tasty as it gets, while my duck Margret was the very best I have ever had: roasted to perfection and accompanied by a tasty chutney - a winning combination. And I just fell in love with the unusual knife offered with my duck: the owner explained that a local artisan makes them especially for his chain of restaurants and are available to clients.

Roberto and Pedro took excellent and unobtrusive care of us - it was apparent that the staff is unusually well trained.

A welcome surprise and desirable alternative to the usual good basic Cabo dining scene - excellent for special occasions and splurges!
