“Amazing Sunset Cruise”

Cabo Blue Trimaran Sailing Boat
Reviewed March 12, 2014

Our group of 6 had an amazing time on the Cabo Blue sunset cruise.
We had purchased the Los Cabos Passport and our reservation was handled very smoothly via internet & email.
We boarded the boat precisely on time and were greeted at the dock by a friendly and professional crew.
We were still docked and just getting our seats when the crew came around with the first offer for drinks. OK, the drinks weren't the greatest, but that's not the reason for taking the cruise anyway.
We departed the dock on time and slowly motored out of the harbor, stopping at The Arch, Lover's Beach etc, to allow everyone a good view and time to take pictures.
The captain had a very nice music playlist, but it was more as background music as opposed to aloud party atmosphere.
After we turned into the Pacific we immediately spotted whales. The show on this particular evening was spectacular as the whales were breaching very regularly....each breach eliciting more "oohs" and "ahhs" from the passengers.
Amidst the whales jumping all around us, we even saw (and photographed) an amazing sunset.
The temperature cooled a lot after the sun went down and we recommend that you bring a good sweater or a hoodie.
The return trip was a little more of a party atmosphere as the music increased in volume and tempo. When we approached another pod of whales, the captain turned down the music and we just watched in awe.
Once back near the harbor, the music kicked up and the dancing got going in earnest (although there is not a LOT of room to dance on deck).
There were about 20 passengers on board and it was a perfect sized group.
Kudos to the crew for an entertaining, friendly and professional cruise.
PLEASE remember to tip when you depart....it is well worth it.

We did a snorkel trip with Cabo Blue, they were great. We got to see whales, dolphins and sea lions on our way to Santa Maria. Once we got there we saw all kinds of fish, it was beautiful. Thanks again for a great day! Open bar, food and everything was included. It was a fun day.

My husband and I had booked a sunset sail with another company (Greyline) online and it had turned into a nightmare. When we got to Cabo we were informed they had a private cruise and could not take us ( even though we already paid months before). Luckily they called Cabo Blue to take us. They are wonderful! The crew/owners are awesome and it was such a fun time. Drinks were included, but it wasnt a booze cruise. They stopped to see all the great sights, took pictures of us with our camera and were very friendly. Will definately use them again!

We signed up for snorkeling with this company and they were great. The location was beautiful and the captain explained everything perfectly. He stopped to show us a whale and jumping Manta Rays. They provided all the gear, even rinsed the ocean water off each if us as we came up from snorkeling. Very professional, also very family friendly. They also provided lunch and drinks just kept coming!

We wanted to do a sunset cruise before we came home from Cabo, so we decided on a "booze cruise" on the Cabo Blue Trimaran. We had done a dinner cruise before and decided it wasn't worth the extra money.

The only problem with the whole thing was that the designation on how to find them was "across from the flea market." Well there are only about 5 flea markets at the marina, so that really didn't help us much. We finally made our way to the boat after walking around the entire marina.

There were only about 10 or 12 of us on the boat and it was just great that way. We watched all the other sunset cruises go out with so many people it looked like you couldn't even turn around without stepping on someone.

The entire crew on the Cabo Blue was terrific. As soon as we got on board Javier asked if we wanted a beverage. Once we were underway we did have to stop for just a minute to allow two latecomers on the boat. They'd missed the sailing and took a water taxi out to catch up with us. No problem there. We went out by the Arch and watched the sun go down then went out around the point.

There was music and dancing and a little snack mid-way through. Do stay away from the tuna on the plate.... not too yummy IMHO.

It was a two hour trip and we all had a blast. I highly recommend this trip!
