We were relocated from Grand Solmar after we lost all water at GS. Again the place was, well, nice but a letdown after Grand Solmar. It was late when we got there and the Brigantine Restaurant had a fish only menu that night... WHAT? We were told to go to the lobby bar for food or go to town. The lobby bar was less than Denny's. The pool bar closed at 5pm...WT*. The property needs upkeep. The grounds were very lush and well kept. They gave us a 2 room suite. We didn't take pictures......? What is that all about.... just un inspiring. The bright spot was the little general store. I needed ZANTEC BIG TIME!!!!! They really went out of their way to jump the language barrier and brought out a medical dictionary to understand. The 3 of us worked at it and we were successful. they were TIPPED nicely. A big thanks to the 2 of them. Top notch service. We've included pics of the grounds.
Would we return....no thank you.

Room Tip: Like I always say...TIP. Be prepared to go to town for dinner. The pool bar closes at 5pm and don...

The hotel is beautiful and was very clean. We did the all inclusive for the week and what we didnt love was that we had to sign for everything each time we ordered somehthing. it was a hassle we also were acosted but the time share people with our "welcome package" it was frustrating to say NO i really dont want to go and have them keep asking me what time i wanted to attend.I am on vacation - the lady also wouldn't tell us where our room was which made me laugh a bit. There was a leak from somewhere into our room and when i called about it they said ok and hung up no one fixed and no one called back. I also didn't love the lack of internet service.. one device at time and only in the pool and lobby.. not quite what we thought it was. So while it is a beautiful place and the walk to town is quick we wont be coming back.

Stayed in the "N" building for one week. Came back to the room from dinner at 8 PM one night to find the cold water was off. (The hot water was fine.) Called the desk to be told there was a problem with a pump in the building and it would all be fixed by 10 PM. At 10:30 PM, we were told it would be fixed by 11PM, but they offered the use of another room in which to shower. Took them up on the offer and went to sleep. Guess what? The next morning, still no cold water. Called the desk, and these folks had NO clue there was any problem. They sent maintenance over who also had NO cluse there had been any problem the previous night. Two hours later, the "pump" was repaired - after snooping around, I discovered it had actually been a burst cold water feed pipe to just OUR room!

The grounds were very nice and the staff was otherwise friendly and helpful. The restaurants were OK - but there were plenty of other places within walking distance or a short cab ride that were excellent. After one trip to the $25 breakfast buffet, we took public transportation to the Wal-Mart (less that $2 each way) and loaded up with breakfast food and snacks for $55 that lasted the week. Then we splurged on lunch and dinners out!

Thank you Playa Grande the service from the staff was great everyone was so Helpful..Loved or room ocean view and the grounds there beautiful and very clean.... If your looking for a ride to and from the airport we took nice ride cabo they were great will use them from now on......can't wait to come back next year........................

Cabo is my favorite place to relax and enjoy the beaches. Playa Grande is walking distance to downtown. Swimming with the dolphins was a great experience.
Playa Grande's restaurant doesn't have the greatest food, but there are so many restaurants close by or a close taxi ride away.

Room Tip: We love the rooms facing the ocean.

I cannot say enough great things about Playa Grande - perfect location, beautiful grounds and condos and the housekeeping is impeccable. We ate lunch at the pools every day and the food is great (turkey wrap to die for!) and although drinks are pricey, happy hour is a great deal.

I stayed here twice this summer – one week in a 1 bedroom and one week in a 2 bedroom and the size difference is tremendous – our 2 bedroom was HUGE with high vaulted ceilings and an enormous deck.

We prefer to stay in the Ridge where it’s quieter thanks to the two adult pools, although oftentimes kids do get in the pools despite the “18 and over” signs. There were adults around us complaining constantly to the bartenders to get the kids out but they never did anything about it (heck it isn’t their job). My only complaint is that the security guy who I've often seen up around the Ridge pools wasn't around this summer. There was even a fight one day amongst a bunch of drunken adults and they were thrown out of the Ridge area (there were a bunch of drunk idiots diving over the top pool down into the kiddle pool below - one big guy landed on a little kid and thus the fight ensued).

They offer a full range of spa services and have beautiful clean facilities. I had my nails filled several times and used the fitness center every day. It’s free for owners and exchangers have to pay a fee.

Just returned from spending 5 glorious days at this resort. My husband and I had signed up for Solmar; but they were having renovations and redirected us to Playa Grande since it is owned by the same corporation. What luxury! The staff is amazing! We had all-inclusive eating and drinking as part of our package. If you are a gourmant and know good food, then you will find little faults with the quality of some of the foods. If you stick with their shrimp ceviche, all the seafood and the various tacos, you will experience heaven. The asset of this property is its location in Cabo ( a 10-min. walk to the marina) and the friendliness and graciousness of the restaurant employees. One word of caution: stay away from Cabo during Sept. and early Oct. It is fly season and the temperature is extremely humid. Stay away from the Concierge desks who try to sign you up for time share presentations--if you are looking for peace and relaxation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the highest floor possible. All rooms have some sort of ocean view.
