Resort has 6 pools (one is adult only) with food and bar. Our waiter, Rodolfo, at main pool was amazing. No swimming at this resort due to the dangerous waves, but shuttle service is available into town where swimming is allowed on beach or pools. Every night is a different food celebration. Two years ago they had entertainment on certain nights but this year there wasn't any entertainment (dancers, mariachi band, etc). Best to buy the all-inclusive meal plan which covers most food and drinks (there are a few exceptions) and can be used at sister hotels. Golf carts (they drive) or walking is way to get around on the property. Hotel is about 45 minutes from airport. Hotel does have a shuttle which you need to purchase but it's cheaper to set up shuttle on your own.

Just returned from a week at Sunset Beach and I want to give a recommendation to Alejandro Perez who works the morning shift at La Nao. He was so attentive, made an effort to get to know us and gave great service. We asked to be put in his area every morning as he was such a cheerful start to the day.
Had most delicious dinners at MontiCristo and Quivira with excellent service.
We enjoy the variety of restaurants that are available with the all inclusive . The staff are so friendly and work so hard .
A most enjoyable place to vacation.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at this BEAUTIFUL resort early May 2018. We had the best time imaginable. This resort is so elegant. The staff is extremely friendly and careful to attend to your needs. We felt like Royalty staying there. We received a RCI welcome and the presentation was so professional! The food, amazing. We will be back. This resort has set a high standard and it's worth every single Penny.

The pools are in need of some serious TLC, the pools are not heated at all. You cannot get in the Ocean at all but the views are great. For a large resort the cart system is GREAT, most of the drivers are great. Inez in the Market area was great, very attetenative. We think his name is David in the Market area, he was also great, he was very catering to us, made efforts to get to know us. Now at check out for transportation, Freddie is not fit for the job and the system they have is not clear. Freddie needs to take a customer service course and to read details. We prepaid for our transportation and were told to meet at Market 15 mins prior, which we did. We asked serveral times to ensure in correct place all said yes, went to check with Freddie one more time and then he asks for a voucher which we were never advised about and seems many other guests had same issues. I went over, spoke Spanish to them and after calling on the phone and they spoke to Freddie, he flips to the next page to read the details that we had pre-paid, all it took was patience from him to read carefully and look for our name. The Concierge area lacks some serious training, we heard many guests express some frustrations we had with them, getting the run around and never helped out, just pointed everyone to go to other employees to help us and other guests. The cleaning staff and cart staff seemed to be more helpfull than the concierge staff.

Room tip: 2nd floor is not only 5 steps as they advised for senior adults

Great rooms and service. Don't expect a lot of entertainment. It is a great place to relax with many food options. (Not all of them good) Not sure we would buy all inclusive here again. The variety of pools and food options made it tolerable.
