“Another enjoyable week in Cabo!”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

My husband and I are owners at Sunset Beach and this year was just another great vacation in beautiful Cabo. We usually stay on the hill above reception, but this year we stayed in bldg 31, mid-way down in the property, and beside an adult only pool. GREAT location with a beautiful view of the Pacific. This is the first year we went alone and we loved using the quieter, adult only pool. The grounds are well maintained, lots of activity painting and maintaining the property. Every staff person we met was friendly and helpful. Great help from the concierge making dinner reservations. Great couples massage in the spa! Our end unit was quiet and we loved sitting outside on the patio to have breakfast or a drink. Good internet service that we paid ~$40 for the week. We rent a car and they make it easy to park yourself or to use valet service. We did not do all inclusive as we enjoy dining in town. We were comfortable walking wherever we wanted to go on the property. It's nice that they allow you to create your own personal vacation! Excited to return next year with family.

We spent 2 weeks at MonteCristo in April 2014. All of our trips to MonteCristo include a lot of time at Pool 26 at Sunset Beach. We love that pool and our friend Omar. He is a top notch waiter - always friendly, talkative and great service. We look forward to seeing him every times we visit CABO..

We have been coming to Sunset Beach since it first opened - since about 2000. We visit twice a year and have watched the resort grow over the years. It is spotless, with luxurious suites and villas, the landscaping and flowers are stunning and many many staff members have been working there for years (the sign of a great place).

We were disappointed that the pools were cooler this year than in the past - we were told they are not heating them as much to save money. The quality of the food at the resort has declined since the all inclusive program started the last few years. The owners meetings have become another sales presentation and we plan to never attend another.

But these are small things inconveniences compared to the wonderful relaxing time we have when we come back to Sunset Beach or MonteCristo.

The weather, the people, the place - in our opinion can't be beat. We love this place and consider it our second home.

Brilliant spot! superb setting and excellent service, great food and fabolous drinks, look forward to returning with sound piece of mind. Was not a big fan of the buggies transporting you around, mainly becuase of the exhuast fumes, but really it is so minor in the bigger pix!

Room Tip: we got a fabolous two room suite with a view to die for!!

Spent a week, the first of May. Beautiful resort, with plenty of pools to choose from. We especially enjoyed the adult pool, quiet and peaceful; however, the water was pretty cold, sure wish they could have heated it up some. We did the all-inclusive and the food was very good, and drinks exceptional. You certainly get your $$ worth. The grounds are on a hill, so not easy getting around if you don't want to wait for a golf cart all the time. We walked a lot, up lots of stairs, etc., but it was good exercise. If you have bad knees, etc. it could be challenging, but the carts were easily accessible with just a small wait time. All the staff at the resort were friendly, courteous and attentive. Whoever does the training is doing an exceptional job, as the staff seems to enjoy their jobs. We loved the free shuttle to the sister properties and took advantage of that pretty much every day. We could walk into town from the Rose and then shuttle back when we were ready. Everything went very smoothly with the shuttle service, just make sure you make your reservation and get a ticket. The resort is very clean and very well kept up. The rooms are great as well. We would certainly return.

Room Tip: If you don't like a lot of noise, try to get a room that is not close to one of the pools. Just...

After multiple visits to the Yucatan Peninsula, we finally had the opportunity to visit Los Cabos this past January. We had the pleasure of staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. This family friendly resort is set on the side of a mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It's an incredible layout with a mid-rise traditional hotel overlooking a multitude of smaller buildings stretched over several acres of lushly landscaped grounds. From the highest point of the property (i.e.: Sky Pool) to the beach level, you have a drop of over 300 feet. With so much elevation change you might be wondering how you get around the property. Although we enjoyed the workout we received by walking around, the popular choice of guests is to catch one of the roving golf carts. The golf carts are continually running and can be sent to your room directly. We enjoyed the rides especially at the end of a night out. The all-inclusive feature of the resort was very convenient and the various restaurants and bars kept us well-fed and satisfied throughout the day. The beaches on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas are generally not safe for swimming but they offer fantastic panoramic views and great sunsets. The beach at this hotel is very expansive and deep and was never crowded when we were there. There are several pools scattered about and the main pool offers more great views of the Pacific and a convenient Bar & Grill. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to future visits.

Room Tip: We had a room that had direct access to the beach which was really convenient.

We stayed at Sunset Beach in April 2014. We have stayed many times and it seems our trips get better each time. We know the resort and feel like it is our second home. The staff are always friendly and they will go above and beyond to make your stay a fun and relaxing experience. We ate at the resort most of the time and the food was really delicious. We did not do the all inclusive plan this time. We can't wait to go back!!!!

Room Tip: All of the rooms have wonderful views of the ocean. The rooms closer to the ocean will let you hear...

I went to Pueblo Bonito Sunset for the first time 4 years ago with a friend. We both fell in love with the place & we both immediately bought timeshares there. I went back the following year with my cousin & she liked it sooo much that she bought a timeshare there & I upgraded to 2 weeks of ownership. The following year when I returned, I increased my ownership to 3 weeks & my cousin upgraded also. My cousin brought a friend with her & her friend bought a timeshare there. When I went this year, I stayed in one of the villas & was pampered to death. The place is gorgeous & very well maintained & the staff could not possibly be nicer.
For those who are concerned about traveling to Mexico,
I can assure you that NO ONE is more security conscious than I & I will not hesitate to return.
Also, the all inclusive food, beverage & internet package is a great deal!!
I think anyone who loves the beach & the sun will absolutely enjoy this resort!!
