“Decent Shrimp”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

First of all, the price range on trip advisor is off for this place. We had one margarita, two beers, two tostadas, and two orders of shrimp, and it came out closer to $60 all in. To put things in perspective, the shrimp orders alone were $12 and there were soups on the menu for $10. So, good, but not particularly inexpensive. If you have an appetizer, main dish, desert and one or two drinks, expect to pay about $30 a person if you're watching what you eat. The seafood sampler for two was about $60 if you want to try a lot of stuff, and that doesn't include drinks or desert so you're looking at about $45 a person all in if you want to try many things.

I had a fish tostada and the order of coconut shrimp with mango sauce. The shrimp was cooked with expertise, but I found the coconut and mango sauce a little too sweet for my tastes. That being said I tried the garlic shrimp my friend was having and it was terrific. So I'd recommend that you stick to the unadorned, the garlic shrimp is the way to go.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is OK if you sit far away from the road, but it was very quiet on the night we went.

Some tips on finding the restaurant:

1) Look it up on a map beforehand an memorize the location relative to a major landmark. The locals are COMPLETELY USELESS at directions. We even asked a lady at a hotel and she was clueless. Some guys on the street pointed us in literally the opposite direction, and apparently none of the locals know any of the street names because we were asking for directions both in terms of the the name of the restaurant and the street locations, and the locals were clueless.

2) The "town square" referenced in the directions is misleading. If you ask a taxi driver to drop you off at the town plaza or centre, you'll get dropped off by the main dock area where all the American-style restaurants and bars are located. Calle Cabo San Lucas is still a good 10-15 minute walk from there on Lazaro Cardenas (facing the water you want to walk to the right on Lazaro Cardenas past Squid Ro and the other touristy places). You essentially walk past all the touristy stuff and end up on some pretty quiet streets before hitting Calle Cabo San Lucas. The "town square" referenced in the directions is more of a small park, and it was completely empty so I doubt that the locals think it is their town square. The easiest landmark is the Museo de Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant is a half block northwest of the museum on Calle Cabo San Lucas. Calle Cabo San Lucas itself is a decently busy street so you can't miss it if you're along on Lazaro Cardenas.

“Great Seafood Very Reasonable Prices”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We ate at this place last night and this was a good find. Looks like a place for locals not gringos like we are but you can't beat the food, portions and prices. Get the seafood soup filled with crab, shrimp and sea bass, I had the whole deep fried snapper and my DH the blackened sea bass. They have a full bar too. Restaurant is 2 blocks way from mi case on the same street. If you like fish this place won't disappoint.
