Description: El Farallon is a Los Cabos restaurant tucked into the cliffs of The Resort at Pedregal that resembles a coastal seafood shop that has survived its share of storms. El Farallon invites guests to gather with friends to enjoy Cabo San Lucas fine dining and a casual atmosphere accentuated by the evening sunset above crashing ocean waves.

I dont understand why this restaurant is not at the top of everyone's list.... I have been going to Cabo for 20 years and this is a great place....however, it is a bit more money than other restaurants... but I think a good value.

As you drive through the tunnel that takes you to the Capella Resort in Cabo you find yourself saying "WOW"... this is an impressive property and the restaurant sits on a cliff right on the ocean.... and right above the waves crashing in.... if you sit at a table on the edge, you do get some mist from time to time from the waves.... it also gets a little cool with the pacific side wind and mist.. take a light jacket or they also have blankets for you as well....

This is a unique restaurant... the catch of the day or seafood is 38.00-40.00... beef tends to be more expensive.... all items come with soup of the day, three, family style, appetizers and the entree comes with two sides... they have about 10 sides to select from.... so basically for 40.00 you get all you can eat, and it is very, very good.

We were there twice in two weeks:
First time the appetizers were - salad (mixed greens) with goat cheese, Muscles, and seafood ceviche... all very good.....
Second time we went - it was a normal salad, grilled, mixed seafood(shrimp, scallops, etc), and a chipotle seafood mix ... ( it was kind of a Cajun dish)... all very, very good....

You go up to the counter to pick out your fish... when you return they bring the soup and family style appetizers. They bring the entree, which comes with two sides...

I highly recommend this restaurant... a bit more expensive than most, but great views, resort and food.... you will not be disappointed...

If you are a foodie and you want an awesome experience...EAT HERE at sunset so you get the full experience. You should make a reservation before going to Cabo...its very hard to get a table before 8 if you dont. Its probably one of the most amazing locations and experiences...(so you have a frame of reference we are people who eat at places like French Laundry)...oh and you need to like seafood...if you dont...don't go...or go for a drink. It will not be worth it if you dont do fish and seafood.

Absolutly one of the best! Spectacular view, amazing wines, delicious food. Phenomenal experience. It is pricey... This is a place not to miss. Be sure to ask for dress code (men, no tank tops or shorts allowed, women, sun dress we are A-ok). If you can stay at the hotel.... Do not miss brunch at Manuels. Wow. Enjoy!

First and foremost, the Capella Pedregal looks like it's an amazing resort. It is beautiful, quiet, romantic, and has spectacular views of the pacific ocean from it's restaurants, rooms, and pool. I didn't stay here, but if I did, I'm sure it'd be an Excellent rating.

With that, we did come to El Farallon for dinner this past weekend, and like other reviews state, it provided great views, and a wonderful environment. It was romantic, with a live musician playing hit songs on a spanish guitar, and the staff was excellent. Any needs were tended to immediately, and they were extremely helpful on selecting choices from the menu and giving recommendations. An example is the warning of how the seared lamb could be a bit gamey for some folks (it wasn't) but they wanted to make sure everyone was happy with their food.

I started with a Guava Margarita, and as I have a strong love for guava, was a bit disappointed that it didn't have as much guava flavor as I would have liked. The appetizers were good, and we had the blue fin tuna, and the pork belly and scallops. The tuna was flavorful if not a little on the salty side, and the pork belly was delightful. The scallops were also very salty. For my main course, I had the suckling pig. It was nicely prepared, with a crisp top, and tender meat. The bread that came before the meal was nice and fresh, but the butter had no flavor (and the sprinkle of sea salt on top didn't add as much as I normally would like). Dishes were on the pricey side, with items listed in USD, appetizers averaged around $20 each and main courses around $35. Drinks were around $15. 15% gratuity and 16% tax were added on top of the price of the meal. 31% added to a meal is a lot. For 8 people, splitting 4 appetizers, each person ordering an entree, a drink per person, and the tax/gratuity came out to about USD$100 per person.

Overall, it was a good experience and I really liked the location/venue/service. For the price, I expected the food to be better than it was, as nothing really stuck out as that memorable. It was good, just not excellent - which brings down the restaurant as a whole to a Very Good rating.

An aboslute great expereince that is a must try. From the moment you arrive through the tunnel at Capella you are treated to very courteous and professional service. The setting alone is very worth your time and couple with the service and food it will be a memorable meal. Be sure to get reservations ahead of time and be sure to budget accordingly as it is expensive but very wll worth it.
