Description: Tucked into the cliffs of The Resort at Pedregal, El Farallon is the best restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, listen to the waves crash below while making your selection from the ocean-to-table menu featuring the daily bounty from local fishermen. Executive Chef Gustavo Pinet offers only the best selection of the local catch on shaved ice. Our culinary experts will guide your selection with an old-fashioned scale that weighs each choice and assist with side dish pairings.

Hands down, the most delicious and fresh fish in town! We sat at our candlelit dinner around 8:30pm (we suggest you make reservations earlier to watch the sunset view). I opted for bottled water, while my girlfriend had a glass of red wine with her dinner. The restaurant works as follows: the waiter introduces you to your fish expert, where you literally pick out which slab of fish/lobster/shrimp/clam you want to try; then, the fish expert filets your selection to your liking (we prefer no butter/oil). We ordered the Bounty Selection for two. This includes four 4 ounce filets of the fish of your choice, a lobster tail, a chocolate clam, 4 small side dishes, seafood soups, and a display of three appetizers. It was A LOT of FOOD, but it was DELICIOUS. The selection of fish we chose was (1) parrot fish, (2) mahi maui, (3) wahoo, and (4) red snapper. All really scrumptious. Passing on dessert, our total bill for two was $200 (with the glass of wine). I highly recommend this restaurant - the experience, view, service and food was unbeatable.

The views and ambiance of this restaurant are stunning. The service is average and the food is average. It is awkward to have to get up from your table to go view the seafood that you wish to eat. This is a three to four course meal starting with a soup that was mostly broth with little substance. We skipped the next course as there was nothing that interested us. I had snapper while my wife had parrot fish for our main courses. While they were both fine, niether was anything to write home about. We both felt that there were other restaurants in Cabo that had better food, service and value. There is however, nothing like the surroundings that you will experience at Farallon.

Was delicious, but pricey. Great wine, considering Cabo is not the place for good wine - unless you want to pay.

It all begins when pulling up to the enormous entrance gate to Capella Pedregal resort. Once you get through, you will go through a stunning tunnel carved out of rocks leading you to the courtyard which looks out onto the ocean. It amazed us that that tunnel was created solely for the entrance to the resort! This is where the experience begins. We were greeted by a resort host who personally walked us through the resort to the hostess of El Farallon. Stop and take pics on the way, there are some stunning views! Once seated our waiter introduced himself and explained how their process works. To say waiter wouldnt be an accurate representation, more like a personal attendant. You are basically taken to a fresh seafood display where you choose your meal, two sides and its preparation. I chose an whole Parrot fish and a jumbo shrimp. My wife had the yellowfin and a couple jumbo shrimp. We both chose grilled jasmin infused bok choi and grilled zuchini. They first started us out with garlic toasts and seasalt pretzel sticks with a goat cheese and cream cheese spread. They then served us with a crab soup. Since my whole fish was taking a bit longer, they complimented us with an assorted ceviche platter. Minutes later our appetizer trio which consisted of lightly fried calimari, mahi ceviche salsa and a slaw mix came. All very good! Entrees came out right after. Our waiter deboned my Parrot fish right at the table and it was as fresh as fresh gets. Yellow fin was amazing as well. Jumbo shrimp were a little under cooked for our liking but not bad. Bok choi and zuchini were excellent. Earlier I mentioned that our waiter seemed more like a personal attendant. What I meant by that was we never had to look for him, he casually lingered close to our table without ever being intrusive. By the end of the meal we were both stuffed so we told the waiter we would pass on dessert. Apparently that didn't matter because he brought out a ccomplimentary dessert and told us he couldn't let us leave without trying their crepe with mixed berries and fresh whipped creme..It ended up being the perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience! I forgot to mention that our table allowed us to watch the waves crash on the rocks below us creating the perfect ambience!

Food was average, but well worth the visit. I would recommend the restaurant even if you are not a hotel guest.
