coming from Cape Cod, it's hard to find towel space, but here on Medano Beach , it is never crowded and always clean. With a million dollar view of Lands End

“Almost Downtown San Lucas”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

a long, narrow, busy beach along a stretch of hotels and resorts just east of San Lucas. Lots of vendors (ignore them). Lots of places to get drinks and food (try them). A longish walk from el centro (the tourist area). Good swimming. Safe.

“Medano Beach Swimming”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The swells can be a huge amount of fun to bob up an ddown in. There are portions with really big waves that crash on the beach fortunately right in front of our hotel (Arco) the waves are not so crashing. Take a boat ride to Lover's Beach, fabulous snorkeling along the rocks.

“No Swimming!”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

When we were deciding which hotel to book, I thought I MUST be on this beach. Don't bother. Nobody gets near the water. You can look at it, but it's just ok. The beach sand is really hard to walk on, nearly impossible. We've been to dozens of beaches in the world and this one is not worth the effort.

I love Mexico, but next time we'll go back to the Yucatan.

“Beautiful Beach, Buzzing With Activity”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Medano Beach has great opportunities for water sports. Everything from jet skis to stand up paddle boarding. The beach has very clean water. Sand is a little coarse, but overall fantastic! Great views of Lands End.
