Owner description: The clear turquoise waters makes this beach a great snokeling and swimming area.

Our tour operator cleverly brought "fish food" for the many swarms of schools of fishes that congregated for this feeding frenzy was incredible. I was amazed on how many fish swam so close to me while I was firing many pictures with my underwater camera, which by the way is a great plus to have on any underwater tour. However the tour operator from Eagle Divers told us that it is NOT recommended to bring food (human food such as bread) that their digestive systems are not use to, but he says everyone does it anyways.

A nice relaxing beach. Some snorkeling and great swimming. Only down side is the occasional jellyfish i saw so be careful when swimming, you can see them while swimming as they float towards the top of the water so can avoid if you pay attention. Overall would go back and recommend for people that want to go to beachs that also locals come to.

Beach is peaceful and was sparsely populated at 10am when we landed to snorkel. The snorkeling just to the right is simply amazing and was easily accessed without a tour operator to bring you over.

Tour operator is not a necessity to do this, as their are plenty of facilities, easy snorkel access for beginners too, and more importantly it was quiet even in January.

Chileno Bay public beach is an easy place to get to by car or bus. We took the public bus at 60 pesos for three people from Cabo San Lucas. The beach has restrooms, showers and shade from palapas and palm trees. The snorkeling is good with a rocky point that starts at the beach. The only downside is that the tour ships from Cabo San Lucas make a stop here disgorging 30 people at a time for 45 minutes right into the ocean from the boat. So, you might be by yourself and all of a sudden you're surrounded by crowds of people bumping into you. The upside is that many Mexican families also choose to come and so it doesn't feel so much like a touristy place. Definitely a place to take a family with easy entry to the ocean with much smaller waves.

Chileno has great facilities (Bathrooms, palapas) but it gets fairly crowded due to them.
Snorkeling is OK (Santa Maria Beach is a LOT better), water is cloudy in places due to strong waves.
