Booked the Bahia on a whim when we found a 24-hour deal offering 50% off the total stay. GREAT value! We booked a classic room, but upon request with the help of the wonderful staff, we ended up in one of the renovated rooms on the pool level for the second half of our stay.
The Classic Room: Pros - nice city view, private balcony, full kitchenette with fridge and stove/oven, cathedral ceilings, good lighting. Cons - the big white concrete shell on the wall above the bed was somewhat hazardous (bumped our heads a couple times), bed was hard, water temp in the shower was never consistent, no in-room safe, no microwave.
The Renovated Room: Pros - very nice job with the renovation (sleek look), direct access to the pool via patio, upgraded bathroom, consistent temp/pressure in shower, access to wifi 24/7 thanks to being next to pool (wifi is only available by the pool and in the lobby, but it is free), kitchenette with microwave, in-room safe. Cons - bad lighting in bathroom (almost too dark to shower), no plates/silverware, bed a bit hard.
The Hotel Overall: Pros - beautiful lobby, great restaurant with good food & live music on lobby level, pool had a swim up bar with a great bartender and the water temp was always perfect, front desk staff very helpful, room service always timely, excellent location only a 1 minute walk to the beach. Cons: Thin walls, construction site next door sometimes a little noisy when trying to relax by the pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room on the pool level so you can have free wi-fi 24/7 and direct pool access.

We stay at the Bahia for a couple of days before we go to our timeshare. It is a very nice hotel and they try to accommodate their guests from check in to check out. The rooms are spacious, rain shower bath is nice. Restaurant and coffee bar are good but not cheap. Pool area is very nice with the pool bar, chairs etc. The room prices are very goodcompared to the other hotels close by even though they are not on the beach. Would we stay here again for longer, you bet we would.

Everthing about our stay was ~ "Perfecto!" Would go back in a heartbeat!

Traveled with my friend who speaks spanish (lucky for me), they are the hotspot for bar life, the pool was awesome and the treatment was great!
The location is perfect for anyone that doesn't want to rent a car.
Also a block away from the beach.
The coffee shop was a welcome alternative and the staff there was fabulous!

Room Tip: Absolutely great hotel and the best location!

We really enjoy every time we stay at Bahia because has it all from excelent kind service offering us all kind of tours and activities, to prime quality food at the restaurant / bar and the ambienve and beautiful people... Even a coffee shop!!! ;) Almost perfect for me because is one step to the beach, it would be perfect to be actually on the beach... So one step to Perfection :)

We have been visiting the Bahia for several years. For those that have not been for a few years, you will be amazed at the transformation of the hotel. It is beautiful. No longer is the pool a desolate, empty spot. It is surrounded by pool beds, comfortable lounge chairs and a fully stocked bar. The rooms have been totally remodelled and are very classy and romantic. The location is the best in Cabo. One block to The Office. Easy walk to the marina and downtown. The coffee shop is excellent and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast also at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.
