This is a great retreat on a hill overlooking the liveliness of Cabo proper. As a party of 5 we comfortably stayed in the Hidden House which was conveniently equipped with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sofa-couch. The hot tub, poolside bar and Brennan's restaurant provided much relaxation and provisions and the rooftop terrace makes for an incredible backdrop to a sunset wedding. We are already planning an annual trip back!! I would recommend staying here to anyone!

Exceptional! My husband & I live in Cabo San Lucas & just got married at Blarney Castle last Saturday. We rented the entire hotel for 3 nights, held the event there, and stayed there ourselves...and it was perfect!

We have gotten rave reviews of the Blarney Castle, with not even one single negative comment from any of the 75 wedding guests, or any of the hotel guests who stayed at Blarney Castle with us. The rooms are enormous, the staff is friendly, the views are amazing, and the food is delicious.

We held the ceremony & cocktail hour on the roof deck, overlooking Cabo & the Sea of Cortez at sunset. Then we moved up to the restaurant for a delicious buffet-style dinner of beef, stuffed chicken, and sea bass in cilantro sauce, complete with tomato/basil pasta, salad, rice, beans, veggies, and dinner rolls. Afterward, we moved the reception to the pool area where Rogelio, the bartender, took excellent care of the guests.

Shonna, the hotel manager, and Brian, the restaurant/bar manager, went out of their way to make everything perfect. They did everything from answering questions about hospitals for our pregnant guest to bringing dinner down to the DJ; from allowing guests to pay in pesos & dollars (we had guests from both the US & Mexico) to locating tums in the middle of the night.

My husband and I wanted more light by the pool for the dance floor, so Shonna drove home & brought Christmas lights to us. Brian spent one morning translating between Spanish & English so our mothers could communicate.

If you're looking for a place to stay or to hold a special event in Cabo, Blarney Castle is it!

I can assure you that this is the best deal in Cabo!

Got back yesterday from a 5 day stay at the Castle Blarney. The day before we were set to arrive we called to confirm our reservation. The owner told us we were good to go and we were excited for our trip to begin! Once we were on the ground at the airport, the shuttle driver had never heard of the place and if we hadn't gotten a map, it could've been a slow drive around town to find it. Once we got there, it looked like WWIII had started. The drive up to the restaurant was under construction and therefore closed until it finishes. Since this is straight up a 2+ mile dirt hill, with no local restaurants around, we had no access to dining like the website promises. The main reason we chose the castle was to be away from the main part of Cabo and be able to have our meals at Brenan's. The website also assures an easy walk to town. That's only true if you an olympic athlete. It took us 30 minutes and that's on an all dirt road through a terrible part of town. Do not try to walk back at night. We got horribly lost. Also, 80% of the Taxi's have never heard of Castillo Blarney. We had to give directions to the driver's and paid $10 for that luxury. If the driver knows where it is, the fee is $6. Backwards, just like a lot of things in Mexico! On the plus side, Brian, the hotel manager is an awesome guy from So. Cal and he gave us lifts into town every night and even took us to Walmart for supplies. He felt really bad that the restaurant wasn't open since we told him we didn't want to cook while on vacation and wanted access to a bar. The room does have a kitchen and full size refrigerator that we stocked with beer from Walmart. We happened to be the only guests, which was really nice since the pool and hot tub are super small and really only suitable for 4 people at a time. There are no other activities at the hotel and the room only gets 4 TV channels, so plan to be gone everyday. The A/C in the room doesn't adequately cool it and there was no screen on the slider. There were 15 - 20 wasps circling the patio everyday, so we couldn't open the door for fresh air. The water level is almost non existent at times, so showers are hit and miss. They have a nice view and everyone was very friendly, but without good amenities and no food and drinks available, it wasn't a very good experience. The bonus, and the only reason we stayed, was the 3 day deposit was all they charged us for our stay. Otherwise, we would've moved to one of the many hotels in town.
If you are planning snorkeling, the EcoCat is the best. All you can drink, BBQ burgers and hot dogs and an awesome crew. Motosol has the best beach ATV. Transcabo airport shuttles were ok for the price too.

Stayed for 4 nites on the way back to Chicago from Mazatlan. We booked our stay last year on the basis of previous reviews and were not disappointed. We had a large 1BR suite on the upper level with a large patio overlooking the town. A great spot to have morning coffe watching the cruise ships come in, evening cocktail and then a nitecap with Cabo all in lights below. Shonna, Brian and Andrea were most gracious and helpful.

The rooms were very large, well equipped and spotlessly cleaned.

Had an excellent complimentary breakfast each day at Brennan's, the restaurant they recently opened at the Inn. Also had three excellent reasonably priced dinners there. Good service, nice atmosphere and a view to die for.

A great stay at a place that was completely different than the usual cookie cutter establishment.

We have stayed at the Castillo Blarney twice and have enjoyed every second of it each time. Shonna, Juan, Brian, Rogillio, Pancho and staff were all excellent. I have never met such a group of warm and friendly people willing to assist in any way possible. We learned of great places to go see, and awesome places to go eat. The Inn recently added a spectacular resturant on top of the hill called Brennans! Every morning we woke up and had breakfast over looking all of Cabo San Lucas...it was AMAZING! We fell so in love with the place my boyfriend actually proposed from the overlook on top of the Inn. We can't say enough good things regarding the Blarney and all their wonderful staff! The Inn is also comfortably located just outside of town, where you can enjoy the views and the nature without all the noise of the nightlife. There is a nice pool, and hot tub to enjoy too! People really don't know what they are missing if they stay in a mega resort. We recommend castillo blarney 100%...

Great rooms, nice view and pool. Comfortable bed. A little far from town, but walkable if you're ok with1/2 mile or more. The owner is quite accommodating. He pointed us to a good beach, loaned us snorkeling equipment, chairs and an umbrella.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Castillo Blarney and we loved it! The rooms were very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Shonna and America (Americus?) were so wonderful to us.

Room: We reserved the junior suite and it was so spacious. The bed was nice and firm and so was the couch (which can be used as a sleeper). The a.c. was wonderful to come home to after a long day on the Mexican streets. Our suite was cleaned (top to bottom) every day, and the cleaning lady even washed the dishes for us.

Hotel: After a long day at the beach, it was great to come back and relax in the jacuzzi. Every morning, one the workers would come out and clean both the jacuzzi and the pool so there were never bugs/leaves/etc floating about in it. The poolside gallery was very quaint, and it was a nice location for early morning yoga, meditation, and writing.

Location: The Castle is located on the top of a hill, but there is a shortcut to get down the hill. My boyfriend and I walked up and down that hill at least twice a day everyday we were there and it was fine. It was a nice way to work off those big Mexican meals we were eating. Of all the guests there, half were like us and walked and the other half either rented a car or took a taxi. But the walk to the main strip and the beach was about 10 minutes and very pleasant and safe. Walking also helped us to find cute, local restaurants with great (great!) food.

We are definitely planning on returning and bringing our friends with us.
