The most unique Mexican food, perhaps we ever ate, and we live in SoCal, and have been visiting Mexico for years and years. The outdoor seating is really shady and clean -- lots of trees and bushes, well-landscaped. "Diego" is one of the servers and he will provide wonderful attention to your experience and meal. "Felix" is another waiter, who is very nice, and knowledgeable too. Start with the three salsas served with chips before any of the food is served -- really, really good (salsa verde, a red salsa, and red pepper paste)! Oh, my goodness, be sure to order the Mango Margaritas -- another "wow!" We arrived early for lunch, at noon, and the menu was limited. But, by 1:00 you get the full menu. You have to try the Gorditas appetizer, and be sure to select the "corn fungus" as one of the accompaniments (we never heard of it before, and it is so good, you just cannot miss it -- called, "huitlacoche"). Roasted poblano peppers was the other one we ordered for the Gorditas accompaniment. We ordered the Conchinita Pibil (shredded pork, simmered in a very unique sauce), which was simply outrageous. The steamed lamb was very fine, too. They serve you home-made, rolled tortillas, to go w/the meats and rice and black beans, so you end up making your own little tacos). For dessert, be sure to go w/the Mexican Coffee (may have been the best I ever had -- orange, molasses, and cinnamon) and incredible Tres Leches cake. Way to finish your meal! Enjoy.
