My expectations were not high when we arrived due to the reviews I had read. My wife and I were pleasantly suprised. The hotel is rather dated but but well kept. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The beds were soft and the furniture was comfortable. Our balcony was huge and overlooked the marina. The main reason we stayed here was the location. We walked virtually everywhere.
A few negatives:
They try to book a time share trip as soon as you step foot on the property. (this occurs EVERYWHERE you go, our hostess at a restaraunt even tried) We brought our own drinks to the pool and it seemed that the poolside restaraunt staff ignored us when we wanted service. There is construction near but with the growth of this area you would be hard pressed to stay anywhere quiet.

The room smelled like urine and 2 dead roaches greated us in the shower upon our arrival .It all went down hill from there. The television, stove, air and keys didn't work. The whole purpose of this place is to lure you into a time share presentation .The place is barely a 2 star by American standards. Try to avoid this place at all costs.

Our stay at the Marina Fiesta was not a fun one. This hotel REALLY REALLY needs a makeover. First of all, the entrance to the hotel is in an alleyway. what??

Second, the rooms are in dire need of a GOOD CLEANING, NEW SHEETS, NEW PILLOWS, NEW BLANKETS... BASICALLY NEW EVERYTHING. I walked into my room and knew I could NOT walk on the tile barefoot. The bathroom was dark and just too small. The glass dining table was smeared w/leftover food from the previous tenants and kitchen counters still had crumbs on it. Gross.

Third, and this is no exaggeration. EVERYONE was trying to sell us something! Yeah, everyone there is friendly, but for a reason. As soon as we entered the lobby, the concierge folks was hounding us about visiting their new hotel. All the restaurants we visited would sit down at our table and talk us into visiting and eating at their new sister hotel. And they won't take no for an answer. It was absolutely annoying.

There were guys walking around the hotel w/ their shirts off, no shoes and beer cans/ bottles in their hands. Can we have some class here?? Also, the people above us kept spitting down onto our patio and into the bushes. disgusting.

And now the noisy construction part. There's construction going on right next door to the hotel...... 24/7!! we had car alarms going off every 10 minutes all night because the trucks were so loud it would trigger the alarms. construction workers were shouting at each other throughout the night. need I say more??

We finally checked out after 2 days and went to another hotel.

The only good thing about the place was the pool. That's about it.

We just came back from Cabo and stayed at the Marina Fiesta for 4 nights. It was a decent stay, the people working there were very nice and laid back. The room was decent, but getting old. The construction going on with the mall next door was bothersome...they worked for pratically 24 hours a day and eventually I got used to the noise but it was always there in the background. The pool area was nice but a little run down and the water didn't look all that clean either. The staff never bothered us, even to the point that if we wanted something, like drinks when we were at the pool that we had to go get it ourselves. Overall, the stay was relaxing and peaceful. The beach was a quick walk away and the view of the marina was very nice. We came there to get some R&R and that was exactly what we got.

This is our favorite destination anywhere in the world. Cabo San Lucas is a fun place, and Marina Fiesta has the best location in all of Cabo. You can walk out your front door and be in the middle of town in less than a minute. The hotel is clean. The staff is awesome. There are 3 hotel owned restaurants downstairs on the marina walk, but we found that eating poolside was our favorite. We own 2 timeshares at this facility, and we USE them. We have never traded because we are so happy with the place.
