“Good location, nice facility, so so staff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

The rooms are very typical to most mid-grade resorts in Cabo.

The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is good.

The pool area is nice but the staff service was slow and somewhat indifferent.

I might return if they had a good price but all things being equal I would stay elsewhere. Cabo has many mid-grade places to stay so unless they improve their service I see no reason to return.

I have owned a time share there for about 20yrs. The property and house keeping are always immaculate.
Concerning the Restaurant, (Palapa Bar), it seems they are downsizing the menu and the service.
Free I'net service in now available only in the lobby, not in the bar/restaurant or in the rooms. Last year they said it would be improved and be available in the rooms as well. Now the speed and availability are very poor and the fee for other service (in rooms) is $5/hr., $12/day and $50/week. Presuming it is the same quality as the Free Lobby service, it's hardly worth the cost. Interestingly, free I'net is available at every restaurant and even on the street corners.

Bellman service continues to be excellent. Hard to single out one man.

We ate again at Mis Suenos, Excellent; La Casa Country, excellent and Baja Cantina, excellent.

Gricelda's Smoke House continues to be outstanding with High Praise for Francisco and his new boat "TRES AMIGOS"

Room Tip: Spring Breakers make pool side rooms noisy.

The hotel overall was decent and in a good location in relation to squid roe and mango deck/the beach/marina area. The rooms were decent and relatively clean but nothing special. However, the service here was HORRIBLE. They treated us like they didn't want us there and whenever we asked for something they wouldn't bring it to us no matter how many times we asked. All inclusive was even more annoying.

Room Tip: Suite style and ask to see it before- they are all different

I really liked the location a fall inclusive features of the hotel. I would stay there again. The only gripe I have is the free wi-fi that was advertised at the hotel. Because the only place that it's available is in the lobby not in the rooms or by the pool or anywhere else in the hotel. That sucked.

My understanding is that Marina Fiesta (MF) is one of the older hotels and timeshares in Cabo, so it’s not a swanky, opulent place like so many others along the corridor and on the west side of the marina. It shows its age in some areas, but is continually being updated in phases and is well-maintained. It located right on the marina and right next to the mall so it’s in the middle of all the action. While this was worrisome from a noise and activity perspective, as the week went on we grew to appreciate the location. Aside from the airport transport which MF arranged, we did not rent a car, pay for a taxi (which are expensive here), or hire a shuttle to get around. We did walk, and take public transportation to San Jose and Walmart which was not only cheap, but easy - just talk with the concierge. Most of the really great restaurants and activities are within easy walking distance to MF - that was fantastic! Noise curfews are enforced along the marina and it’s much quieter at night. Flip on the A/C to drown out any other noise (except if you happen to be there on spring break). If you get one of the few rooms that actually have balconies over the boardwalk, you have front row seats for the marina and boardwalk - bring your binocs too! Plan to walk/run the marina in the early morning before the crowds. The rooms face due west so sunsets over the hill are great and morning sun on the hill and boats is lovely. The bed was comfy and the room well-appointed (for a luxury suite). They have a coffee maker in the room, but no filters (we happened to bring some). Fridge, hotplate and micro in room. Loved and used the “Sky Gym” to maintain workouts. The pool was fine with swim up bar that is not always attended. There is a second pool in the back tucked away that we saw once but didn’t use. MF has a few associated restaurants and the one we tried and highly recommend is Deseos - very good and very hard working staff - try the local shrimp dishes, soprecitos and tortilla soup!

The MF staff are great! Jared (bell), Jose (concierge), and Giovanni (front desk) were most helpful to us - thanks! They are very accessible and can help arrange any activities and transport.

Room Tip: I would ask to see a couple of different available room types when you check in -- some are more pri...

The Marina Fiesta's location cannot be beat. We did not have to rent a car because we could easily walk everywhere in the marina area and to Medando Beach. The room had a few small cosmetic issues (cracked sink, stained couch and pillows) but overall was fine. The maid service was excellent and the front desk service was also good. I had one request to meet to get my "welcome gift" (i.e. hear a time share presentation) but once I said no they did not bother me again. I took advantage of a massage at the spa and it was very good. I got a mid-week discount which brought the price into the reasonable range. The only downfall of the trip was it was Spring Break and there were a few 4 a.m. knocks on door/drunken screaming sessions from the high school and college kids, but that was to be expected during the time we were there. I had along a pair of ear plugs and all was good. I would definately return.

As an aside, the hotel advertises Transcabo (http://www.transcabo.com) as a preferred transportation provider to and from the airport and I would highly recommend them. They did a great job and patiently put up with some communication challenges that were totally my fault.

This is our second time that we have chosen to stay at Marina Fiesta... First, I would like to say a huge thank-you to the bellman Ceasar! He was very helpful, and I had lost a very important bag, and he went to above and beyond that night to help me find it... Also, Hoguer (SP) our waiter every morning at Jacks was awesome!!! He knew our order, was friendly and always had a smile... As an employer, we need to find awesome, hard workers as these 2 guys :)

Room Tip: We had the 3rd floor, and the view was great!! And I love that they fill the fridge daily :)

The position of our bellboys among the others, is where we put special attention precisely because we need people like Cesar, to be able to offer you a great service.
