The location is good, plenty of bars, restaurants, and even a nice mall close by. The free breakfast is good, it is served at the base of the light house looking out over the marina. Be sure to check the free breakfast menu and If you do not like the meal for that day you can get an upgrade for five dollars at the pool side buffet. The marina is right out the back door of the Wydham and you can easily walk the pier where there are lots of shops and reasturants, boats for fishing, whale watching, and water taxis that can take you to Medano beach (the party beach) or Lovers beach which is more secluded. The water taxi can cost as little as $3 - $5 and the beaches are only about 5 minutes away. The pool area is nice and is elevated, so you get a great view of the marina. Best of all the rooms are very clean! The only bad part is the hotel beach club that is advertised by expedia as being free was no longer free, when I asked about it they at first acted like they didn't know what I was talking about and then admitted that it used to be free but is no longer available, but if I attend a 90 minute hotel presentation they will set up free transporation to the beach. This is the same response you get for just about everything, they are really pushing this 90 minute hotel presentation. After our third attempt for general information from the hotel concierge we gave up trying to get any help from them, as others have already writen they do hard sell and it does start right after you check in.

Room Tip: The marina view is great, you can see the pool and watch all of the activity going on around the doc...

We are happy that postcard-pedro had an excellent vacation at the Wyndham Los Cabos. I sincerely apologize for the alleged aggressiveness of our sales representatives and for the miscommunication regarding our complimentary beach transportation; we will most certainly heed his valuable comments in order to enact improvements in accordance with our pursuit of excellence in service. We sincerely hope to welcome him again in the near future as we value greatly his patronage.

The wyndham was by far the least expensive of the hotels on or near the beach or marina in Cabo.We stayed for 2 nights to extend our weeklong vacation in cabo to 10 days.We arrived via shuttle from the airport and were last to be dropped off because of the location. All other drop offs were greeted by bellman welcoming them to the resort. We did not see a bellman until after we had brought our own luggage up the stairs in to the lobby and the timeshare people told us where to put it while we checked in and talked to the timeshare people. Then the bellman took over, it was necessary because they had to show you that when you punched 2 in the elevator it was for the 3rd floor. Our journey to our room was a long one and I asked the bellman if there was a closer elevator. He told me the stairs were close so we decided that we would use those until we found them to be for emergency only.We liked the location but the rest was really mediocre at best. The price was mediocre also so I guess you get what you pay for

Stayed in 5th floor Club room which was very nice. Large veranda overlooking marina and ocean beyond. Pool area was excellent but the DJ was a bit noisy at times. The marina area was a lively place with lots of restaurants and bars. Solomon's had an excellent breakfast, the Wyndham breakfast buffet was disappointing. The Wyndam staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Our fifth floor apartment had living room, bedroom, and kitchenette. These units are above the pool...

We bought a getaway from Interval International so were expecting the usual quality that Interval has. We found most of the furniture in the room was damaged, the couch was disintegrating and pieces of it were all over the floor. Under couch cover it was horribly stained. Curtains had large brown stains, bird droppings and black debris on patio, and patio furniture was damaged. Internet they say there is a beach shuttle but front desk said there was no shuttle! There are no bathrobes, minibar, evening turndown. This hotel is very old!
Requested different room and even took a downgraded size and although it was better the patio furniture was broken, sink cracked, tile floor cracked.
Pool area is nice but everyone was complaining about the nonstop boom boom music.

Good location if you do not want to stay on the beach with many restaurants nearby and marina activities. The front desk staff is not guest friendly, helpful, or just does not understand what hospitality means, in any language. The hotel has a system to save electricity where you have to put a room key in a slot for any lights,AC,t.v. ect. to come on, desk clerk did not inform me of this and after fumbling around I figured it out. I got more smiles and greetings from the housekeeping staff as I walked to and from my room, than I did from anyone in the reception area.
Many rooms are unusually far from the elevators. My room #395 was up a flight of steps and there was no signage to direct me , room #394-396 ...o.k. where is 395 ? A housekeeper helped me find the room. Room had small bugs/ants on the desk and bathroom . My view from the balcony was nice and it is large.

Two major areas to choose if you are in heart of Cabo: Marina or near the Beach. We ended up staying here as it was a good compromise to not pay the higher prices for similar properties near the beach but didn't want to be too far from action.

So, as you can see, the main thing going for this hotel is it's location if you are not at the beach. The hotel is perfectly situated at the heart of Marina with great access to most things you need. The hotel is on the Marina and provides walking access to good food (local taquerias and restaurants), nightclubs, groceries, etc. Since it's on the Marina, you have access to all kinds of trips leaving from the Marina.

Overall, here are the top good and not-so-good things that caught our attention during the stay ...

GOOD:
* ON THE MARINA, great location
* Relatively moderately priced
* Clean rooms and good customer service
* Includes breakfast with a good spread including omelettes made to order
* Rooms with balcony and Marina views for a little extra money (we paid extra $10)
* Access to the Skypool Dayclub - a great place to enjoy some music and the pool if you are not heading to the beach
* Easy access to water taxis to go to Medano Beach or the Arch/Lover's Beach, cruise tours from the Marina

NOT-SO-GOOD:
* Rooms are on the smaller side and dated ... it can be quite a walk from the lobby to the room depending on the tower you get a room
* The gym was under construction and closed for a while
* Staff doesn't seem to eager to please and you won't get top notch service ... good but no where you would feel great or wow
* Trying to sell tours in the lobby right after check-in wasn't a welcoming experience

Overall, a good 3.5 star hotel which comes at a decent price on the Marina

Room Tip: Pay the extra ~$10 to get a Marina view

I thank Live_It_Ez for his feedback and sincerely apologize for not being able to deliver the Resort experience he was expecting. We will most certainly heed his valuable comments in order to enact improvements in the areas he found to be lacking. For the benefit of the trip advisor members I would like to clarify that we do have much bigger rooms available, although at a higher rate, we also have elevator access at both towers of the Resort for easier access to town and avoid walking to the lobby throughout Guest stays. We are very excited to inform that the GYM and Aura SPA on the second floor are fully opened and functional. We are of course grateful for all types of feedback and promise to do better in the future. Value for money the Wyndham Cabo San Lucas Resort is without a doubt, the best option in the Cabo area. We sincerely hope to welcome the reviewer again in the near future as we value greatly his patronage.
