“Great relaxation spot!”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

We traveled for a week to Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos (still known to us at the "Blanco"). It was our second time staying there, but it had been about 7 years since we had last been. The properly is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We had a Junior Suite, with two beds, a small kitchenette and a seating area, as well as a very large balcony. The ocean view was obstructed by trees, but that didn't stop our enjoyment of the room.

The Activities Staff, particularly J. Luis, Rodrigo and Linda, were all wonderful. Our 7-year old daughter enjoyed their Kids Club activities for about 3 hours many of the days we were there, at which they did arts and crafts and even went swimming one day.

At the pool, we had great service from Margarito and Fredy.

This time was the first time we had purchased the all-inclusive package for meals and drinks, to use at the Blanco and the next door Rose properties. The quality of the food has declined, but the prices have been significantly inflated I suppose to make us think we were getting a good deal. The AI suited our purposes because we really didn't want to leave the resort, and given the humidity and heat, walking to town for most meals was just not appealing. It was nice to be able to order drinks without thinking too hard about how high the tab would be at check-out, but one full day at the pool, with 2 or 3 drinks each and lunch would have costed $150 without the AI! The best meal we had was at Cilantro's -- although our waiter there seemed like he really didn't want to be working that day.

Overall a wonderful vacation and we look forward to going back in a few years.

We decided to go to Cabo San Lucas this year for the family vacation. We we were greeted at the door by Antonio. Everyday he greeted us and provided excellent service. The whole staff at Blanco was great. The front desk was on top with Andres and Luis helping as much as they can. Janet was great on keeping the room clean and always left a nice decoration on the table for us. Jose Luis "J.Lu" entertain us and made my kids laugh every time.
We purchase the all inclusive package (first time) and we were not disappointed. The food was great. We ate at Cilantros and Las Palomas all week long and the food was good and the service was great.
We have 2 6 year old boys so we spent our pool time at the Rose pool. Geraldo "Jerry" provided excellent pool side service. He went out of his way for us and his service was much appreciated. Also Angel was very good with his service. This made our trip.
Last Year we went to PV at the Mayan -- we had a great time there but we loved the service we had here at both the Blanco and the Rose. By far it was a much better experience.
I golfed 2 days at Pueblo Bonito Copala golf course. It was amazing!! Once again the Pueblo Bonito service was top notch... Domingo was great! Free beer and food while golfing... Now that's service. The view was spectacular.
Thank you staff of Pueblo Bonito for making this one of the family best experience to date.

I wish I could remember the names of every one of the doormen, beach servers and maids that give wonderful service here at the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos. Ozcar and Antonio at the front entree and Margarito at the beach but there are so many more who treat us to Mexican
Hospitality. The maid service is equal to any fine resort and the service everywhere on this resort is 5 Star all the way. The concierge service is great and they will make a reservation and make a
Recommendation for you. The hotel and grounds are fabulous and everything is very clean, all the time. We don't eat here often because the food downtown is great and we have favorites that we want to visit. We have been coming here for almost 20 years and treasure the memories .
See you next February!

Room Tip: Almost every room has an ocean view!

Just returned from a 4 night stay the Pueblo Bonito. Here is my perspective and some tips.

Hotel is very clean and modern. We had a Junior Suite and it had plenty of room and was nicely appointed. Wait staff as a whole were efficient and friendly with only a few that seemed less than excited about the job they were doing. Food overall was very good at both restaurants. The location was great with only a short walk to the Marina area. If you like sushi, hit the sushi restaurant next store at the Rose. If you do all inclusive at Blanco, then the Rose restaurants are included as well.

A few tips:
1) Bring USD since that is what the resort staff like as tips. Bring $1 bills since exchanging larger denominations resulted in only being told they have $5 as the minimum. Meaning they want you to tip in $5's vs $1's. That is excessive given the service and what you may be ordering.

2) All inclusive looked to be a good value in the end if you plan on eating all your meals at the resort. Paying for each meal certainly adds up of you don't do all inclusive. For example, the Breakfast buffet is $35/person if you pay a la carte.

3) They are working on the wifi, so only place it is decent is near the restaurants or in the lobby. The rooms did not have wifi available yet, but they were working on it.

4) We booked a kayak through the hotel. They limited you to only going out 500 meters and about 1000 meters either side of the hotel. Also, they had a "guide" trailing us, who provided little value. Likely a liability thing with the hotel.

5) We also booked a snorkeling excursion via the hotel to Chilean Bay on the Oceanus II. Was about 1.5 hour boat ride there, about 45 mins (max) of snorkeling - which was very good but too short. Then they summoned us back to the boat for a terrible lunch. Then a hour boat ride back. So a lot of time boating and not much time snorkeling. Chilean Bay is a public beach and I am sure a taxi ride or land based excursion where you can snorkel longer is a better value.

6) There are USD ATM's scattered around. I did not pay enough attention and they charge about 10% for providing you with cash. I suggest bring you own USD.

7) If you like ice cream, stay away from the Hagen Daz at the Marina. Of course if you like paying $8 for a single scope cone, then it is a great place! What a rip off.

Hope these tips are helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for Ocean view.

My wife and I have vacationed at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos several times in the past. Each time we travel there, it is usually with several of our adult children. We checked into 2 of the luxury suites for a Saturday to Saturday stay. Most of our time is spent relaxing by the pool during the day, and we had an exceptional server for several of the days. Jhandi ( YAWN - dee) was super attentive and at times was running to keep his area of the pool satisfied. We enjoy the breakfasts at Las Palomas restaurant - fewer birds. There are 3 waiters there that are excellent. Demitrio (who never fails the first time he sees you - gives a hug and says welcome home), Edgar and Martin. The poolside food is good and the food at night in Cilantro's is some of the best you will find in Cabo. The wait staff is managed by Samantha, who never tires of answering questions or just chatting. If you desire to eat in town, Pueblo Bonito is an easy walk to all of the restaurants. Each time we travel to Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, it only reinforces the knowledge that this resort is charming, colorful and in the best location to vacation in Cabo.

We just had another awesome week at the Blanco! Thanks to Ozcar at the front door , Henoc at the front desk, Edgar at Palomas and Cilantros and Hugo "Boss" "The Best in the West" and Margarito at the pool we had a totally relaxing week.

I have noticed a few negative things however; the pool loungers are all new and there are no pads, they are very uncomfortable. Also, if you purchase the All Inclusive your alcohol selection is now limited...we were unable to get a Mudslide because the Bailey's was not included in the AI and the only Vodka you could have with the AI was Smirnoff or what the bartender called, Mexican Grey Goose"..(um..not even an option for me)...

The Sushi at the Rose is very good, we could go over to the buffet and get a plate of salad to go with it. We never ate at the Mare Nostrum this trip because it was all buffet last time and was horrible. Cilantros is always very good and Palomas is really good if you go on Sundays when it is menu instead of buffet. The pool food is decent also.

The chef at Palomas did up our freshly caught Wahoo Sashimi style and it was excellent. His name is Clemente...we did have to pay 7.50 a person for that.

The resort is showing a little wear, however everything is still quaint and charming and the service is the best!

As always I would totally recommend staying here...it is our favorite place on Medano Beach!

Omar and Rodrigo and Martin were 10's in making our stay fun for all ten of us....moocho gracious! The views were spectacular from room #316 and #317. Best time of year would be October to April. Only negative was the poor internet coverage.
