The Pueblo Bonita Blanco as the locals call it is THE best place to stay on Medano Beach. The staff was phenomoenal: very prefessional but also very friendly. Every suite has an ocean view which means you can see Lands End from every room except maybe the ground floor where there would be a pool view. The alll inclusive package was very economical and the food was good. We could share the restaurants (all activities and pool) with the Pureblo Bonito Rose next door. The Rose does not have all ocean views and has an English Sparrow problem. The Blanco covered all of it's food on the buffet with nice plastic covers but the Rose did not and we watched the sparrows enjoy the desserts one evening.
We could order meals from our cabana on the beach and enjoyed some fantastic entertainment in the evenings. One evening featured authentic Mexican dancing and another evening had a multitalented troupe that could juggle, walk on stilts, present a fire display and drumming with dancers. That was followed by a fantastic Break Dancing routine.
We experienced colder the normal temps in the evening but they have heaters in the outdoors restaurants. We visited the Pueblo Bonito Sunset and were nearly blown off the mountain. It is a resort on the mountain side with transpirtation within the resort by golf carts. The sun does not set over the beach there but over a mountain. Over all the best of the 4 Bonito's in the Cabo area was the Blanco hands down. Would go back in a heart beat. Huge staff, clean and very well run.

Room Tip: don't book over spring break

We were lucky enough to buy a week at our friend's timeshare - a jr. suite unit at Pueblo Bonito Blanco. The hotel room was nice, well maintained, but not ultra modern. Those who need flat screen TVs and ipod docks will miss them, but I could care less. The kitchen was tiny but completely functional and well equipped with everything from bottle openers to a blender. Our kids loved the towel sculptures on a daily basis (like a cruise ship!), and our fifth floor balcony was perfect. We like this hotel since it is more classic - like a real Mexican hotel - not a big flashy ultra modern tropical resort like many of the newer properties. It had a down to Earth feel and generally safe and friendly vibe. We trekked out a lot and saw other hotels - many much bigger, but none nestled close to the beach, surrounding a picturesque pool. We could enjoy Cabo from our balcony, from our pool from our beach, and from our restaurants. I didn't sense that the other hotels were as good from this perspective. Finally, the location is dead center to the prime beach, and the water is great. Our kids spent days playing on the beach, which we could watch from our room and from a chair near the pool (facing the beach).

Others have said the service is slow, and indeed we found the service by the pool to be a bit lacking. I think you just have to face the fact that flagging down waiters is what they expect, and once you get their attention, it's not so bad. Drinks are relatively quick, but food can take 15-40 minutes sometimes, depending on what you order. We never once saw a menu - we ordered things that we remembered from the Cilantros menu, pizzas (very good and lots of choices if you see a menu), hot dogs, coconut shrimp, etc. . On the last day there, I saw people with menus - lots more things we could have been ordering.

We did all-inclusive for 3 days - not a great use of money, but a very enjoyable first three days at the resort. After those first 3 days, we had no problem finding food in town and at a local supermarket. (we didn't go to Costco or City Club - we just walked to the supermarket behind Squid Row and got what we needed to fill our fridge and room.)

We had a great time! If you go, enjoy yourself! We went in April and the weather was perfect.

Room Tip: We liked the high floors, but the regulars said the third floor is a good place to be. The room was...

This is an older, BUT very well maintained property. On Medano Beach which is one of the most pristine beaches and swimmable. It is directly next to Pueblo Bonito Rose which is a bit more modern, but many of the guests of Rose come over to Blanco. Great restaurant Cilantro right on the beach. Drinks are not watered down...so watch the margaritas. Staff was wonderful. Our room was 3rd floor dead center of the resort overlooking the pool area, beach and a perfect view of Los Archos. Definitely would return to this location. Easy walking distance to town...about a 15 minute walk...there is also bus service just outside the main gate to both Blanco and Rose. Taxi to town will run about $12-15 for one way service. Walmart is close by if you have a car. Costco is more towards San Jose del Cabo and great if you have a large group, but other wise Walmart has everything needed including liquor with prices that are reasonable. Get your PERFECT lounge chair at the pool by getting up at about 6 am and placing a towel on the chairs. For beach umbrellas and chairs make arrangements with Loretto and provide a tip of $5-10 per day depending upon whether an umbrella or canopy is needed...he will ask you a time that you will be there and save the location for you...so be prompt or you will loose your spot. Forget the all inclusive...we did not do this, but were tempted. Glad we did not as we like to eat at more local spots like Pepe's (main street can walk to from resort). Mi Casa is also very nice and the restaurants around the marina are great, but parking is difficult and the walk can be rough in really hot weather...so that would be a taxi ride even if you do rent a car. OH...car rental, for US driver's be sure to take out the liability and the CDW to prevent any problems...pricey but you would not want to be detained in MX should an incident occur. We were there Apr 8 - 15...day time weather perfect, but nights were very cool, so a jacket and long pants were needed, but THERE WERE NO CROWDS WHATSOEVER...NICE!!!!

Room Tip: ROOM 318 HAD A PERFECT VIEW directly facing Los Archos. All rooms have balconies that face the harb...

We returned a week ago from a great vacation in Cabo at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos. We usually travel to Disney World for Spring break but decided to try Mexico. My biggest concern was whether my 9 and 10 year would find the beach vacation fun. The last thing I wanted to hear was "I'm bored" on the 3rd day. Thanks to my research on trip advisor, I found the Pueblo Bonito and discovered this resort has a SWIMMABLE BEACH! Most resorts in Cabo are located on a beach that is un-swimmable. I couldn't imagine telling the kids that they could look at the ocean but they couldn't go in. The kids were in the ocean all day, everyday.
We were located in room 524. This was a Master Suite and had 2 full bathrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 double beds, a kitchette, and small living room with pull out couch. The single balcony was located off the living room and had 2 chairs, a small table and built in drying rack for wet bathing suits. Since we were on the highest floor we had a great view of the ocean and pool. All the rooms had views of the ocean but some room's views might be blocked by palm trees.
We were initially assigned a room on the opposite side of the hotel but our room was located right next to the HUGE air conditioning units and the noise was brutal so the front desk switched us to the opposite side of the hotel. This was a great hotel for a family. (If you are looking for young, single, spring break, MTV fun then try the Me next door.)
The beach is busy! There is a constant stream of beach vendors selling pottery, hats, jewelry, wraps, toys, sunglasses etc. I love shopping... so when the shopping came to me I was delighted. Some people, however, may find this annoying after 6 hours. The busy beach also offers vendors renting jet skis (we rented 2 jet skis at $35 for 1/2 hour). The kids LOVED this. I would suggest renting in the morning when the water is calmer.
The kids also went on a banana boat ride and we took them Para Sailing...both of these activities were coordinated from the beach vendors.
We elected for the all inclusive and never regretted this. You are able to eat at the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos or the Rose. It made breakfast and lunch easy and our pool waiter, Je De, was great and was constantly attending to us throughout the day. We attended the Mardi Gras dinner/show at our hotel and the Carnival dinner/show at the Rose. They were buffets and the food was ok but the entertainment was great. Kids loved it. We ate some dinners at the hotel and ate some dinners out at local restaurants. We had a great lobster dinner at Lorenzillos at the Marina (we walked there).
We also elected to participate in the CABO SWIM with Dolphins and Zip Lining both through Cabo Adventures. We set this up through the concierge. We did the Dolphin swim which was $150 per person and allowed you 50 minutes in the water with the dolphin. It took about 5-10 minutes to get to from our hotel. I have had other Dolphin encounters and thought this was the best I've been to. The kids loved it.
The highlight of this trip was the zip lining. This was about a 45 minute drive but worth it. I would suggest going first thing in the morning before it gets too hot. We arrived a 9am and were back at the hotel by about 12:15pm. The crew that navigated this adventure were funny, friendly and knowledgable. I was concerned about safety as I sent my children hurling over a canyon on a zip line. The employees at Cabo Adventures take safety seriously and I felt very comfortable that we were in good hands. With that being said...we had a BLAST! This adventure involves zip lining, hiking, repelling, rock climbing etc. It was a great experience and the kids loved it.
All in all this vacation was great! Great weather, great hotel, great food, great staff and excellent location.
If I go back to Mexico I will look no further that the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos.

Room Tip: Higher floor have better view. Corner rooms ending in the lower numbers 212, 312 are located by the...

Our family just returned from a great five day vacation at the Pueblo Bonito Blanco. The views from the hotel are magnificent. Initially, I considered more expensive options like the Capella Pedregal and the One and Only Palmilla, but I opted for the PB Blanco because I wanted to: 1)ensure an excellent ocean view, 2) be right on swimmable Medano beach and walk to water sports activities (parasailing and jetskis), and 3) opt for a stress-free all inclusive option. I certainly think we made the right choice. The other reviewers are right, Henoc at the front desk was both gracious and exceedingly helpful. He definitely helped make our stay there even more enjoyable. Giovanni, the concierge, was also very helpful both before and during our trip there.
The view of the ocean, downtown Cabo and Land's end from our balcony was hard to beat as is the location of the hotel itself. Dining was fine there as you have the option of going to any restaurant at the Blanco or Rose practically any time of day there. I would highly recommend this hotel for its unbeatable view and location.

The best reason to visit this resort over others in Cabo San Lucas is its prime location on the area's most popular beach. The water and sand in front of the resort is pristine and you have an excellent view of incoming cruise ships, docking yachts, and Lover's Beach. It's also a 15-minute beach walk to the Marina which is the hub of all Cabo activity. The famed arch is a short water taxi ride away, and jet skis and paddle boards are just steps from the door. My husband also brought a surf rod and fished right in front of the resort in the early hours and had a little success (you only need a paid license if you go on a charter; surf fishing is free.)

The resort is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are a little older than other resorts in the area, but the bathrooms are lovely and the showers have hot water and great shower pressure. The resort only has rooms with two full beds, but when you check in, they can push them together into one bed the size of Rhode Island (and honestly, you won't feel the seam). They also have a convenient kitchenette, but my husband and I did the all inclusive plan, so we never had a need.

The food is good, not out of this world great, but for an all-inclusive, you could do much worse. The drinks are very generous. Most meals are buffet-style except for Cilantro (where we ate lunch every day) and Fellini's, which is an upscale Italian restaurant. If you're at Blanco with an all-inclusive, the meal is an additional $10 per person, but it's certainly worth the added expense. We had drinks, a salad, entree, and dessert (the Sweet Caramel gelato is to die for), so we certainly felt the $10 was no big deal.

The staff is all very friendly and accommodating and we had an excellent time. They also try to give you their "visit our Time Share presentation" pitch, but it's only when you check in. (They offered us $300 towards the spa if we did it, so your call. We passed; got our towel cards for the pool; and called it a day.) The only not wonderful things about Pueblo Bonito are things that the resort unfortunately has zero control over. The first is vendors on the beach. The lounge chairs are roped off, but they are just on the other side. We walked on the beach several times every day and you can't go ten steps without someone wanting you to buy a trinket, sign up for an excursion, or do shots at their bar. Just keep walking.... Also, the resort has many beautiful birds, but they are noisy. Personally, I like them--it really adds to the tropical resort vibe--but you will hear them. Starting at around 5:30, 6 a.m. Just saying....

The resort is wonderful for families and equally nice for couples. The adjoining Rose property seems to have a much more active vibe than Blanco, so if you just want to unwind, choose this one. There's also a free shuttle to their Sunset Beach property so you have the option to experience all of them should you choose. I researched the heck out of this trip and my husband and I are both very, very pleased with this resort. We also met many time share people who return year after year and that's the most ringing endorsement.
