Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos

We have been timeshare "owners" at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos for 18 years and have stayed there about 6-7 times over that period. The term "owners" is somewhat misleading as one doesn't really own anything, rather just the right to pay to stay there once a year provided space is available when you want to go.

The resort is pretty much unchanged over the years. That's the good and bad news. The good parts, like location, appearance, courtesy of the staff, are still in place. The facility is kept very clean, but has become dated. TV and Internet service are primitive and were plagued by outages during our stay. A little attention to upgrades and maintenance of existing systems would go a long way toward enhancing the experience.

A particular annoyance was the condition of the gym. Although very well equipped, there were 2 maintenance issues which seemed to have been overlooked. The steam room never worked and the toilet was broken throughout our week long stay. I brought these items to the attention of the front desk, but nothing was fixed.

The food was consistent and well presented. All new "all-inclusive" option was being promoted, but at $77 per person, per day, was not a reasonable option except for those on a crash course to gain a lot of weight in a short period of time! There are too many good restaurants in Cabo to spend all the time at one resort.

Activities abound for all ages and interests, complimented by enthusiastic staffers. Guests who chose to spend time on the beach in front of the hotel need to be aware of the relentless efforts of local vendors to hawk their native trinkets. Not that there are no values to be had, but the continual interruptions become tedious.

Pueblo Bonito Blanco remains an attractive option if one scores a good deal. It has been overtaken by the newer, fancier resorts in the area. It's convenient location is it's biggest selling point. An easy and safe walk to the Marina and central areas - a consideration for the elderly crowd which seemed to dominate the scene.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the Sea of Cortez, however, the best view is that of Los Arcos at the tip o...

We had so much fun at the pool. There was so much to do and the folks running the activites were so much fun. Donni, Fabulous, Jay Lou were the best. If you go make sure you spend time doing the activities at the pool. It made the trip!

We have been vacationing in Cabo for over 8 years - Pueblo Bonito Blanco is amazingly consistent. Every time we arrive we find everything either the same as last time or even better. This year we brought friends with us who had never been to Cabo and I'm sure they will be back soon. Everything is always spotless, the staff is professional, and the facility is beautiful. On the beach, walking distance to everything in town, what could be better. There are many other resorts in town and in between Cabo and San Jose - no one does it better.

Room Tip: All rooms have great views - higher floors are a little quieter. The only other suggestion is not t...

Great location; right on the beach, walking distance to the marina/downtown area, many activities located very nearby. FANTASTIC staff to assist with booking (and rebooking, if necessary) activities. We parasailed with Aries Watersports, rented wave runners, took the MiniSub Dive tour on Oceanus, and walked to the marina twice. Take the water taxis to save on walking. There isn't a "quick" way to walk to the marina. It was very hot in August and the beach sand was quite hot and coarse. The walk on the road is not well marked and a little indirect. Housekeeping staff was awesome! They mopped and swept our room daily during our five day stay.

Cannot beat the location, on the beach, but far from where the cruises dock. The beach is less crowded and the pool area is awesome. The rooms are older, but very clean with update bathrooms and very nice beds (and excellent a/c.) All rooms with balcony and ocean view. The staff is the ultimate selling point - friendly, knowledgeable, and always smiling.

My wife & I enjoyed a relaxing stay at Blanco. Wonderful view from our room (510). We saw the Rose and Sunset and liked Blanco best. Much more convenient & cozy atmosphere, great pool where we spent a lot of time in the shade. The Activity Directors Doni and Nancy were a lot of fun every day. Be sure and sign up for the cocktail class when it's offered. The food was good at all the hotel dining rooms, and all of the staff worked hard to keep us happy. What more could you ask for?

Room Tip: Rooms to the left as you leave the elevator (lower numbers) have better views and don't get the...

Our first visit and first impressions are lasting. We were looking for a quiet, ocean side, upscale resort and we found it. If you are looking for more excitement you might consider the Rose, but for relaxation the Blanco is our choice. The food was wonderful for an all-incusive. You talk about cusomer service, the entire staff was most humble, and served us perfectly! Yes, we were there at the end of Sept. 2011 so it was not crowded and that suited us. Since the Blanco is located by such a swimable beach we could go between the beach and the pool everyday. We had an air conditioning problem with our room and we were quickly moved to another room with the same spectacular view. Our friends, who have stayed at Blanco before were with us and we all will be back again and again!!

Room Tip: If you want to wake up to the oceaview choose the jr. suite with the bed in the front rather than th...
