The rooms were very clean and most of the staff were attentive.
Great job to our servers on the beach - Luis Banos and Wilver. They were the most friendly and helpful. Since we spent most of our time there, those two made the most impact on us. Luis and Wilver, I hope we were good tippers! Overall it was loads of fun!

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the nicest suites facing the beach and I would recommend that. Although, I can...

Spent a week at this "all inclusive" resort. Over all the experience was very good. But there are some quirks to deal with.

Room was nice....they all overlook the pool area.....very few rooms actually face the beach, with an ocean/beach view. Room had a kitchenette with sink, fridge, and stove top. Came equipped with the basics.....plates, cups, silverware, ect. Everything was "Mexican tile" floors (imagine that?!) Bedding was comfy, and everything was clean as you would expect.

Pool area is great, lots of deck space with lounge chairs and a HUGE pool. They are stingy with pool towels, and require a pool towel card before they will give you a towel........and not very nice about it.

Small Bar area between the beach and pool deck with a couple of TV's......was nice to sit outside and watch the games. You can order food at the bar......dont be in a rush.

There was always a buffet available, outside next to the pool deck. Had breakfast there every day.......Huge assortment to choose from. Same with lunch and dinner....they also had a different buffet menu theme every night for dinner.

Lots of lounge chairs available on the beach, with food and drink service available. Unfortunately on the beach there are too many locals trying to sell you stuff....hats, sunglasses, cigars, clothing, night club passes, and lots of illegal substances. Since i live near the beach at home, the beach is not a priority....the persistent locals were so annoying i stayed away from the beach near this hotel........but when walking down the beach....they are everywhere.....could not get away from them.

There is another restaurant on property that is a kinda fancy Italian place. We had dinner there one night, and it was just OK........There was no hostess at the station downstairs, so after waiting a few minutes (we had a reservation) we went up stairs and entered the place. Several male personnel were rude asking us to leave and wait downstairs..........Uh....OK......maybe post a sign? or have a hostess in place?....so we wait for a while, and finally get seated (the place is now empty....?) We were informed that although the resort is all inclusive, there is an up-charge to dine at this place........uh, ok.......Then when we order, even though its all inclusive, and even though there is an up-charge to dine here, the menu item I selected, has an additional up-charge....uh...ok........Oh and by the way........That top shelf alcohol your drinking is not on the all inclusive plan either........another UP-CHARGE.........

By the time I left, The feeling of being "nickel-ed and Dime-ed" at every opportunity was kind of irritating. When i Booked the trip with Expidia, there was no info AT ALL, regarding what All Inclusive means, and does not mean, at this resort. When I arrived at check in I had to sign a document with fine print on front and back explaining exactly what "all Inclusive" did not include.

Dont get me wrong, the resort was very nice, very clean, staff was great, location is decent. But I feel like the "all inclusive" wording is a bit deceptive. Just be ready for up-charges and you will enjoy your visit. If this review helps your planning, please leave me a helpful vote.....ENJOY

Room Tip: As always, High Floor with Ocean View (closest to beach) is best

Clean. Great Staff. Beautiful hotel and grounds.
* ROOM: PROS. We had a 2 bathroom, 1 bedroom suite. It was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed. ( they could provide paper towels though ) CONS. They need to put felt on the bottom of all their chairs. You will hear chair dragging a LOT! Guaranteed!!!!!! Like when you are asleep and the people next to you or above you are idiots and come in at midnight and start dragging chairs. It is Loud!!!!!!!!!!. They have a notice on their Welcome Screen if anyone pays attention to it, not to drag the chairs after 9 pm. OK- how about get felt at about .10 per chair and solve the problem?
FOOD: PROS. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Many selections. Spotless clean. Well done and service is awesome. CONS. Not much really. the sushi bar was lame but big deal. We just didn't get anymore.
DRINKS. PROS. They make them well but remember you don't have to get all the mix and sugar it them unless u want to. CONS. Don't order beer on the beach of course because it not too cold when u get it of course.
BEACH. PROS/CONS. Well Medano Beach in general is great! This beach at the hotel is ok if you like being arm to arm with others on a chair packed in a roped off area. They do that because Cabo is littered with Beach Vendors. NOT Exaggerating... do not sit in the first two rows on the beach you will not get more than 1 minute to yourself. YES there are that many vendors- they stalk the steps too so you can't even get on the beach without being riddled by Hey My Friend.. Hey Amigo and on and on. The vendor block your view. It is that bad!
HOTEL. The grounds are kept spotless and the entire staff we met was fantastic!
• Thumbs Up! 1.) Israel on the beach waiter!!! Find him if you go there! 2.) Also out front was Alberto. Great guy too. 3.) Great food and drinks.
• Thumbs down. 1.) Honestly.. the chair dragging is over the top relentless . (PBR, put felt on the bottom!! We can't get a full night's rest otherwise. ) 2.) Beach Vendors are obnoxious and swarm the beach. 3.) MANY Time Share Salespeople too. They don't hound you at the resort but they do make several attempts. 4.) $300 . we did the Sunset Beach tour and got $300 resort credit for food and drinks! We didn't have AI so they also gave us 3 days AI at only $51 pp.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room.

This was our first trip to Cabo, when we made the booking through RCI we were given a lovely suit on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and sea,

Rooms:
The rooms were really great, clean had all the necessaries needed. The lady who cleaned our room was fantastic, she did a great job and every day we had our towels made into different birds with little flowers on them - made us feel real special - we stayed in room 6038. The only negative on the room was that the shower temperature kept changing from cold to warm.

Hotel
Check in was real easy, friendly staff and took us a few minutes and we were upstairs, changed and headed to the beach and pools. The pool is nice, clean and the staff around the pool were great, Angel looked after us most days and always had a smile on him face.

Food
As we had booked and paid for a 3 day all inclusive before we arrived, I am not sure I would do this again, While the food was pretty average with regards to the variety of food, I would have been bored stiff eating the same foods. My wife has food allergies and a chef named Jose Cubarto was incredible as he took the time to prepare food for her specially, he made a point of ensuring all our meals were good for her - Well done Jose.

I had heard good reviews about Fellinie's but was rather disappointed compared to other places we had eaten Italian food in the town, namely La Dolce and Salvatore's - well worth going to those places.

Breakfasts lacked what we had experienced at other resorts with regards to variation of foods offered - no cheese platter, limited yogurts.

We also used the Sushi bar during our all inclusive- not very good and dry - we signed a total of 330 pesos for 2 California rolls (around US$30) - guys seriously - you may want to look at your pricing

Overall - We will definitely return to this resort but would not do the all inclusive, it was a pain to have to sign all the meals to our room during the all inclusive - maybe there is a better way around this, unless they want you to see how much you would be spending if you were not using the all inclusive.

We stayed here only 5 days so we didn't get to take in as much as others who all seemed to stay 1-2 weeks. I believe I favor Cabo over Cancun and Riviera Maya and much of that is due to the Pueblo Bonito Rose.
Awesome:
~ Monica at the front desk - very nice and helpful
~ Wilver, waiter beachside. He was very attentive and friendly. Even brought a bucket of bottled water for us without asking
~ Location, location, location. About a mile to downtown, Cabo Wabo, Giggling Marlin, the marina, etc.
~ Beautiful sunny weather and gorgeous turquois water. The water might be chilly in January but do yourself a favor and force your self to get in! It's invigorating and feels great once you're in!
~ The food was great - I would go as far as saying fantastic because of the poor food at other all-inclusive in Mexico that I have went to. Breakfast was outstanding and we had quesadillas and chips with guacamole beachside for lunch. It was incredible. Steak for dinner at steakhouse place next door not so great. Fellini's was really good. We celebrated 2 50th birthdays and an anniversary with special desserts.
~ Whale watching!! If you go in January or February, I heard that is the best season for this activity. It was phenomenal! Took plenty of video and pictures of 3 whales and even seals perched on a rock in the middle of the ocean. We then were able to be dropped off at Lovers Beach for a few hours before heading back. (Tip: ask the hotel for some boxed lunches to take on your trip. They give you 2 full subs, a fruit, hard boiled egg and a drink - per person!)

Not so awesome:
~ Some of the staff treat you differently if you are wearing the all-inclusive bracelet. It is hard to get noticed or even get a smile from the beachside bar personnel. Often felt ignored. That's why Wilver serving us beachside was a pleasant change.
~ Unfortunately, (although understandably) you will need to tip to get great service. We tipped the beachside waiters very well, telling them to "keep it coming".
~ Please note, during January at least, you will need a light jacket in the morning for breakfast and evening for dinner. There is no 'inside' restaurant. It is all outside, so it gets a little chilly.
~ I think I read a review that every room has a view of the ocean (Sea of Cortez). It does not. If you can swing it, try to get a room with a view. Ours overlooked the pool/bird cages.
~ Finally - the ONLY thing that really, really turned me off at all about Cabo were the hundreds of vendors. They are blocked from entering the resort and approaching you if you are behind the rope on the beach but as soon as you step past that rope or even make eye contact with them while lounging behind the rope - they will hound you. I mean, they are relentless!! I have never said, "No thank you" so many times in my life. It got to be so incredibly annoying and made laying at the beach somewhat not enjoyable. Granted, the last day we were there, I bought from them .. but I prefer to approach them, not have them hover over me every second.

I wish we would have stayed a few days longer to experience more of the resort and the sister resorts. Guess we'll have to go back! :) {I think I'll make a sign I can just hold up on the beach "NO THANK YOU"} LOL.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with view of Sea of Cortez

We visit annually & this was one of the best weeks ever. Close to town, rooms are beautiful, food great especially Fellini's & Cilantro @ the Blanco. Although the staff is ALWAYS friendly & helpful a few people stood out. Our check in with Henoc was Amazing! Service by Heidi @ the pool was SO incredible we made sure to be in her section everyday. She'd see us coming &have a drink ready by the time we were settled in our chairs!! WOW! Same story with Samuel we ended eating breakfast there 5 days ! We tried the all inclusive, which was a really good value. The Activities are good & Sandra really made water aerobics fun. We truly wish you'd install a hot tub outside as well as improve the WiFi. Other than that, we love it

My family of 5 stayed here and it was a blast. Great beach side service, friendly, fast check-in with Monica and bell boy Juan Velez helped with shuttle service lickety-split! Definitely try the sushi! My daughter turned 22 and we went to Fellini's. They wrote HBD in chocolate on a cake plate and everyone sang to her, very special!

Room Tip: Don't hang anything over your balcony or they will call your room!
