“Love PB Rose!”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We were offered a 7 days, 7 night stay at PB Rose at a moment's notice which we jumped on immediately! This was my first visit to Cabo and all I can say is WOW! This resort is absolutely beautiful, conveniently located on Medano Beach, walking distance to downtown... very clean and well maintained, friendly and helpful staff from front desk, concierge, pool and restaurant servers. Our room was clean, spacious and very well stocked in the kitchen. Highlights of the resort for us was the all inclusive benefit of 24 hour food and drink in both Rose and Blanca. Only downside was the inconsistency of the food preparation. Sometimes seemed as if the shift cooks were using different recipes for some menu items. Other than that, loved PB and will most definitely return! Best downtown dinner was hands down Maro's Shrimp House with large plump lobster tails and prawns which are matched only by the wonderful and endearing staff/owners of this great eatery! Muchas gracias Cabo!

Group of five family members spent last week there.
Property is gorgeous. Everything was great, especially our new friend and poolside waiter, Armando Herrera. Took great care of us -- drinks, meals, etc. anticipating our needs & remembering our preferences. He is a very hard worker and is efficiency personified. Made our trip fantastic.
Breakfast waiter, Mario was very good also. The entire staff is very friendly and pleasant.
Location is the best, with a beautiful beach, easy access to arch, shopping, etc. Would certainly return if we have the opportunity.

Room Tip: we were on the ground floor with adjoining rooms and faced the west, so we had shade all morning.

Just got back from a 4 night stay here and had an AMAZING time! Did the all-inclusive, which also worked at the Pueblo Bonito Blanco next door. Location is right on the water, walking (or short cab) distance to downtown San Lucas, easy access to the bars, etc. Can't beat that.

Definitely make sure you visit Margarito at the pool. He provided us with excellent service, a warm & friendly smile, and brought us all the Corona's our hearts desired without delay. He even brought us a round of his signature drink, the Margarito especial! Ask for it!

Also the lunch poolside is the best bet. Get the tacos!

All in all, we had a wonderful time and you will too.

Oh and if you want to kill some brain cells while having a great time doing it - check out Squid Roe!!

Room Tip: Can't beat Oceanview

5 of my girlfriends and I did a trip down to Cabo for a week. We signed up for the all inclusive package which gave us access to both pools... Rose and Blanca. Margarito was the best! He ran around all day taking orders and making sure everyone had what they wanted. He was very quick and so friendly. He also made a "Margarito Special" which tasted amazing.

If and when i go back, Margarito's section is the only section i will sit in at the pool!

this resort is very nice. I must say that the customer service was superb. They anticipate your every need. The rooms are spotless. The pool area is heavenly. We did not do the " all inclusive" deal. We had the breakfast buffet once and it was ok. Still glad we DO NOT Do the all inclusive package. Great deal if you have teenagers. I prefer grownup food. Not buffets. From the porter to the landscapers, the staff is a joy.

I spent quite a bit of time looking up reviews for our first trip to Cabo to determine the best place to stay for my wife's 40 birthday week. Our criteria was close to downtown, on the beach, swimmable water, fun atmoshpere, nice resort, and all inclusive resort. We decide on the Pueblo Bonito Rose for all of those reasons and it was a wise decision - we had a blast! Checkin was easy (slow time of season) and we were impressed with our room 4006 after seeing many reviews that said the place was dated - our room must have been recently done b ecause everything was in good order. We did the all-inclusive as we don't want to worry about how much money we are spending and just order anthing we like. It was a great choice. The service was attentive (especiall Armondo by the pool who worked very hard, had a wonderful sense of humor, and took great care in his service).

Many people said the food was just okay but we were impressed. Maybe we don;t have as high standards but there was never a meal that we thought tasted bad and we loved the variet at each meal. We did some of the buffets and sat down at the restaurants. Felini's service and food was amazing. People raved about this place and I wasnt expecting much but it was unreal-especially the rizotto). It was a slow time of the year but we still had fun at the pool playing volleyball and interacting with the fun crowd. There were all ages but not man kids because school recently started in mid-September. We have three kids that we left home so we were fine with not man kids.

I really liked that the staff truly cared about our experience and were very attentive to our needs. Having the Blanco next door was nice and we loved laying out on the beach (pretty easy to just say no to the vendors). All in all it was beyond what I had hoped and I would strongly recommend this resort if your criteria was the same as ours. I had concerns going in because of reviews but some people won't be happy no matter what or look for what is wrong rather than what is right. We loved it and plan to go back - we are still sad we arent there now :)!

Room Tip: Ask to see a couple of rooms at check-in

We bought an all-inclusive package for Pueblo Bonito Rose on Living Social and were really hoping it wouldn’t blow up in our face. It turned out to be an incredible deal and we were VERY happy with our stay in Cabo. First off, the location was perfect! It was a short walk on the beach into the marina area for shopping and dining, and the beach in front of this resort was very clean and safe.

Our check in was very simple, and we were assigned to a great room on the 6th floor that overlooked the pool and had a great view of the ocean as well. The room had 2 twin beds that they pushed together to make one giant (bigger than a king) bed. It also came equipped with a mid-sized fridge and a small kitchenette (two burners, a microwave, a coffee pot, a toaster, and a sink). We were all-inclusive, but if you had not purchased that package, this would have been more than enough for you to cook and store meals for your stay.

The food on the resort was second to none. We have been to 3 all-inclusive resorts in Mexico over the years (in Cancun & Acapulco) and my wife and I both agreed that this was hands down the best food we have had at a resort. Since the Rose and the Blanco are right next to each other, they share amenities and you can bounce back and forth between resort restaurants based on what you are in the mood to eat. We both liked “Cilantro’s” the best of all the restaurants because the food was exquisite. At the Rose, they also had a good variety. One night was a buffet where they would grill your meat for you (skirt steak, sea bass, shrimp, etc.), another was Mexican food night, then Asian food night, and they also had a Carnival on Saturday night which was entertaining. Rose also had an Italian restaurant on site which would cost you an extra $10 per person (even though you were all-inclusive) and we tried it one night. The food was pretty good there, but we honestly liked Cilantros better and you didn’t have to pay a surcharge to eat there.

The bars on the resorts were great and stocked with top shelf liquor. They had any kind of drink that you could imagine, and the bartenders were always friendly and ready to help you out with ideas if you were in the mood to try something new.

The pool at the resort was very nice. There were always plenty of chairs available and they had many sun umbrellas in case you needed a break from the sun. We were waited on every day by Armando, who fantastic. He was very friendly and engaging, and he hustled more than any other pool waiter and was always on top of things if we needed any more food or drinks.

Overall, this was a great resort and we had a fantastic experience there. We will definitely be back some time soon!

Room Tip: Top floor (on the west side) rooms help you avoid any pool noise, and they also give you a nice view...
