Description: DOC Wine Bar is Cabos authentic Italian restaurant. Located at the towns central plaza, Doc Wine Bar has attracted tourists and locals alike. Its small and warm space provides a pleasant and agreeable experience, and its decor transports you to little restaurant in central Italy. Doc Wine Bar has already astonished its clients thanks to the exquisite menu and the excellent wine selection by Pietro Gioco, Italian from Verona, the creator of this concept. The menu changes regularly but always includes Italian dishes prepared to order with fresh ingredients. Pastas, Mussels, Rock Salt Fish are the house specialty at Doc Wine Bar and are always at the base of the menu. The restaurant also offers steaks, seafood, and other fresh products. Wine selection consists of purely Italian and Mexican wines and ranges from the more accessible labels to the most prestigious. Exquisite and original desserts are the finishing touch to a dinner at Doc Wine Bar. Service is excellent and very personal.

This restaurant only seats maybe 20 or so people, tables are close together bistro style. Menu is deep, we tried caprese salad, pasta in a cream sauce and osso bucco, all were terrific. We went with a local Malbec to start, was only so so, but switched to chianti which was terrific. Wine list goes into the several hundreds per bottle.

Excellent Italian food. Whenever we're in Cabo we always make reservations at DOC's. The restaurant is tiny but they manage to create some big flavor in that small kitchen. We started with the mussels and sausage in a rich, flavorful red sauce. My husband is still talking about it three days later!! My son devoured the ravioli stuffed with short ribs--outstanding! And I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was perfectly cooked and oh so flavorful.

For a 'hole in the wall' restaurant (and it does seem like a whole in the wall until you walk in) this place was Wonderful! It was clean, well presented (for the room they had) and AWESOME food and wine selection! We were looking for something a little more upscale/trendy in town besides just restaurants in resorts. This place is owned by immigrant Italians who know how to cook.

After they realized we weren't just drunk tourists (a couple of our friends started drinking early) the service got a lot better. Also because someone in the restaurant who had been staying in Cabo for a while from Scottsdale, AZ started talking to us and once he realized we were from AZ also, asked the staff to take care of us. I understand that staff may not want the young drunk kids in there, but we were all obviously over 30 years of age each, shunning everyone isn't necessary.

So if you are looking for great Italian food, definitely take a little stroll into town and find D.O.C's.

A cute local place to try for a great wine list and pasta. My meal (sorry can't remember the name because it was somewhat forgettable) was okay, but my husband loved his. The live music was a nice touch, but made for a loud environment. It was hard to carry a conversation because it is such tight quarters. But if you like coziness and activity, then this is the place for you. Good service, fun experience.

It's a very small and loud place but somehow that makes you feel like you're back in Italy. We had the pasta with pesto/potato which was different but very good. The same can be said for the Short Rib raviolis. The tomato and mozzarella was excellent but pricey for Buffala at 250 pesos. Their wine list is huge and help is offered to pair with your dinners. The cost of the dinner can be high for Cabo if you select a better wine. All in all, a nice dinner. If you drive, there's parking in back labeled for the realty office.
