We are Cabo regulars so I'll offer this. We hit this place once of twice on every visit. We order a few Waborita's (strained margarita), then one Waborito (chicken burrito), and Sammy Shrimp and slop it up. The Sammy Shrimp are so delightful we'll be working on trying to replicate them at home! Get what you want but the Shrimp are amazing!

We always sit on the patio upstairs. It's a little more classy but also more of a restaurant feel. I disagree it is expensive. It's a mid-priced joint; this isn't a taco stand. It's cool restaurant with decent to great food.

We went into Cabo Wabo looking for a nice place to eat but were not impressed. The service was slow and the prices were high. The food was good but felt like something you might get at Applebee's or similar. (Not to knock Applebee's but I didn't go to Mexico to get cookie-cutter food) Just down from the balcony seating was a little plaza that had much better food and even better prices. Skip Cabo Wabo and hang out in the plaza below at the Jungle Bar or the taco restaurant.

Let me start off by saying, yes, I am long winded, but please bear with me. Secondly, we are from Saskatoon, SK, Canada and are friendly people who are easy to please. We visited Cabo Wabo the last week of February 2013. Wanted a drink, a burger, and a chance to check out Cabo Wabo. Had heard that it was a must see, and had always wanted to check it out so it was definitely high on the list of things to do when we were in Cabo. Went to the bar late afternoonish and checked out the menu - burgers, Mexican delights, etc. - sounded good to us. Unfortunately, one of our group members was bothered by cigarette/cigar smoke, so we elected to sit up in the restaurant instead of the bar. We were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant and were promptly escorted to a table, given menus, and drink orders taken. Ordered ceasars and Wabotinis. Everything was going okay until we tried to order food. We asked if we could order burgers, as they were on the menus downstairs, but not on the menus in the restaurant and were told no by our server Mike. When we asked why not we didn't really get a straight answer and then were told he would ask the manager and how many burgers did we want to order. We said probably two and he came back and said that he had gotten approval from the manager to let us order burgers. We got our drinks (ceasars were great, although over-priced, and Wabotinis were just okay, very small drinks, and very over-priced), checked out the menus and then placed our orders. At this point, four of the five of us had decided that a burger would hit the spot., partially dictated but the overpriced menu items. We tried to order and were told that we were only approved for two burgers and not four by a less friendly Mike. We asked what the problem was and were given a rambling answer and then Mike disappeared. He came back and begrudgingly told us that we could order the four burgers, but it was a one time only deal and that we shouldn't expect to repeat this order again. I was ticked off and told him we would be happy to finish our drinks and leave, but he said he would take the order. We ordered the four burgers, the shrimp appie and the tortilla soup, along with another round of drinks as the Wabotinis were very small. Burgers were great, shrimp was great, tortilla soup was the worst I have ever had. One of the burgers had plastic cooked into the meat. When we pointed it out to Mike he advised us that the meat comes wrapped in the plastic and that it was perfectly okay. I said that plastic cooked in meat was unacceptable for food service and he brushed me off, so I asked for the bill. We were charged for all meals, when most reasonable restaurants would have apologized and comped the plastic burger. I reiterated that plastic in a burger was unacceptable and Mike aruged the point, then grabbed the bill, took it away and brought it back announcing that they had graciously taken the burger off the bill - gee thanks... We paid the large overpriced bill with a sour taste in our mouths after the cruddy service. Still perservering, we went to the store to buy tequila, shot glasses and t-shirts. We were met with total indifference and treated as though we were an inconvenience to the clerk. We shook our heads and bought our stuff through 100% effort on our part and 5% by the clerk. A thouroughly dissapointing experience - we felt unwanted, unappreciated, and like it was a total money grab. Not cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice wait staff. Fun and happening place! Goooood drinks, especially those served in fishbowls. Band comes in bat 10-10:30 ( remember Cabo time slow and approximate) have to keep tabs on your table around 9 if you want to see the band. Cool memorabilia. Have to stop for at least one

Thank ourtake
